I have been singing in public since 1976 (professionally since 1993).

I use a very practical and simple approach. I like to teach the natural voice.

As a child actor in New York City I enjoyed singing in musicals and also playing in pit orchestras for Broadway Shows.

What are your singing goals? From singing in the shower and feeling like a rock star or for a role in a regional show, as a gigging musician or preparing for professional auditions, my students and I work closely together to get progressively closer to your goals. I have a 15+ year professional performance career as a singer in Musical Theater, Rock/Pop and Jazz and received my degree in Vocal Performance from NYU. Teaching informs my performing and performing informs my teaching. I am a voice nerd and love to continually educate myself on latest vocal research and methodologies. I believe in a hybrid approach of technical and scientific with freeing yourself up to your own self expression and your unique artistry. Since I started working with students of all ages (seriously my youngest student is 2 and my oldest is currently 66) I can not imagine ever stopping. Working with students of all levels and ages is always unique, and fun. I can't wait to get started with you!

I have been teaching voice for 17 years now. I have taught to students aged between 17 - 60 and also have worked with children aged between 4 - 14 and helped them get into children choruses in opera houses as well as preparing them later for conservatory auditions.As i am also a biodynamic breathwork trauma release system therapist , miyofascial energy release massage therapist and holding meditation workshops , i have a deeper understanding of body pressure , tension release . I also use human voice to release trauma combined with breathwork and use breath and bodywork to use voice as a whole instrument. Through these techniques i can also help you find a real connection with your heart center and work on your music through these techniques. Great singing comes from being the song itself , staying in the flow , releasing and freeing yourself with the air , while you are balanced in your body and in the spine. I performed top roles in ANYTHING GOES, HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING and CAMELOT using the traditional BROADWAY BELT method of singing and performance. I will teach my students how to brilliantly, but safely, belt out these thrilling Broadway roles. My youngest student now learning the BROADWAY BELT style is 9 years old!
