I have been teaching math to students of all ages since 2005. I believe that many people struggle in math because they need things explained in a slightly different way, or because they are missing one key skill. Over the years I've learned how to address this efficiently in a way that has led to my students continued success!

About Andrew

Andrew is a dynamic educator with years of experience teaching students of all ages. He graduated from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, where he studied classical percussion, jazz, and Afro-Cuban music. A native to southern California, Andrew obtained his bachelors degree from th

To the extent of what I learned in my experience, Andrew is a great percussion teacher for students looking to join a band or marching band. He obviously had a great amount of knowledge and experience with the instrument itself but also the teaching of it. By the end of the first lesson we had already moved to patterns with 8 strikes on each hand and was presented with an arsenal of other exercises for afterwards to find a rate of improvement when given time. He is a very patient teacher and is sensitive to mistakes and which ones to focus on. I could safely recommend him to any of my friends who are also into percussion, and can speak from experience that any nervousness of getting a new teacher quickly dissolves after the first lesson. Great teacher.

Marcia is an excellent tutor. This pandemic has really made things difficult for our family to keep our children on track with homeschooling. Marcia hit the ground running with our daughter who had become discouraged with all the work she had to do. Marcia was able to look briefly at the curriculum and come up with a plan to not only get our daughter back on track but motivated her to keep the momentum going. She has been a very positive light for our daughter. We truly appreciate her.

In 2013 and 2014, I took English classes with Marcia Albergo. Marcia was a very different kind of teacher. Unlike other teachers, she fostered a love for the language. She encouraged everyone in the classroom to reach their potential. Her method of teaching was also different than the other teachers I had. She used a variety of materials that not only helped us to learn English, but also encouraged our desire to learn. She covered a variety of topics and subjects that held the interest of the students in the classroom. Whether it was learning new words on each new page of a book or new expressions, I was challenged to learn the English language in a variety of ways. I believe she did a good job as a teacher because I was actually learning more than just English. I was learning things about the world that I never knew before. Thanks to her method of teaching, I have learned English well. Marcia was my favorite teacher.
Danute
I have take lessons from Marcia several years ago and highly recommend you take lessons from her as well. She helped improve my English greatly, because she is very professional teacher. Marcia always well organized and prepared. She use effective teachings methods. Gramma exercises, verbs conjugation, colloquialisms, expressions, discussions helps me become a fluent speaker.
She can connect to her students on multiple levels and give for them support. Marcia is very responsible and extremely helpful, she always answered in all my questions. Marcia is a great teacher and friend.
Thank you so much.

She does "unclean" vocals in her band, Karkaza but is super knowledgeable on regular singing. After only a couple months, I'm beginning to see some progress despite my years singing improperly.

"When I first began to take this course, I had my doubts whether I will pass due to the difficulty of understanding it. From first impression I thought I was going to fail because Mr. Haitham had displayed himself to be a strict instructor. However once he started teaching I was mesmerized by how he teaches everything with an actual explanation behind how it ties to the real world. That way I was able to reach such a high score in his class, even though extra credit is rarely an option. However, I believe the limitation of extra credit allows students to challenge themselves on their thinking, and understand what they are truly capable of!"

"I have had several lessons with Jennie Bissell in my home. I often give lectures in academic settings, and I was hoping to improve the quality and fluency of my speech to a level equivalent to top public speakers. Working with Jennie, I made improvements beyond what I could have expected. We worked on a variety of breathing and relaxation techniques used by professional actors. By focusing on producing speech "on voice" the quality and ease of understanding of my speaking increased substantially with immediate benefits. I highly, highly recommend her services for anyone interested in improving their public speaking skills."
