Private piano lessons are available for beginner to advanced beginner piano students. The curriculum includes learning to read music through a method book and applying that knowledge to real songs in chart form. Fingering, scales, rhythm, songs, duets, chords and basic chord progressions will be touched upon in the lessons.Travel available for in home lessons up to 15 miles pending location, scheduling, and availability. 4 weeks or more notice is required for discontinuation of lessons.

My lesson plans are customized for each student to address their unique needs and goals. In addition to playing the songs you want to play, you'll gain a strong foundation in music theory, note reading, ear training, and much more. For interested students, I also assist in audition and performance preparation. I want my students to have fun while learning music!

Hi, my name is Tanya and I have been teaching piano lessons since I was just 16 years old! What started as a fun activity during my childhood, turned into a lifelong passion.
I love teaching kids of all ages and figuring out different ways to make the lessons fun and enjoyable.
I was lucky enough to grow up with a mother who taught violin lessons all of her life. Watching her teach has been very educational and inspiring.

Beginner piano students will learn to read music and navigate the keyboard through fundamental exercises and simple repertoire selections. This is a great introduction for adults who wish to learn some music, music students who want basic keyboard skills, or younger children beginning their first instrument.

I use standard materials for beginners, and try to let students continue with their current materials. I focus on classical repertoire and some jazz. My goal is to foster musical growth and a love of the piano through well rounded lesson assignments that include both challenging and fun pieces.
