Hi, my name is Andy. I've been teaching music professionally for the past 15 years. In that time, I've worked with students of almost every conceivable age and ability level on a wide variety of instruments (ukulele, guitar, bass guitar, banjo, harmonica, piano) and am here to help make your musical dreams come true.

I customize my lessons to the needs/learning style of each individual student with a focus on technique, music theory, and songwriting. With all that in mind, I'd love to hear about your musical goals and figure out the best path to get you there.

The Uke and its history has always fascinated me, and because I have Hawaiian and Portuguese relatives I almost feel it my obligation to play ukulele. I've been playing Tenor, Soprano, and Baritone ukuleles for 10 years and with it, have written jingles for NBC, recorded three albums of world music inspired compositions, and have recorded and played with artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Cody Simpson, and Annika Bennett at the Kennedy Center and other venues around the world. I would love to teach you all chords and voicings up and down the neck, chord/melody parts (so you can provide both the harmony and melody simultaneously) and teach you all your favorite songs with simple and emotional finger picking and strumming patterns that'll never go out of style.
