I am a professional performer, director, and acting coach with over 35 years of experience, and I love leading you to your best work! I can prepare you for a specific audition ( with monologue, sides, or song), or I can provide material so that we can work on a broad set of acting skills and techniques. I will provide guidance, feedback, training, and industry tools, all to have you feeling great about your newly-refined work on stage. My teaching style is energetic and encouraging, and layered with the insights I have gathered from my work as a producer, director, playwright, and performer in all stage genres ....Drama, Improv Comedy, Musical Theater, Comedies, Farce, Commedia dell'Arte. Acting is such a broad term! What are your goals? Do you want to be in films? Do you want to do Shakespeare? Do you want to be in a sit com? Depending upon what your interests are and where you want to go, we will build a plan together. My philosophy on acting techniques is that they are tools to help you, not tests you pass if you're a good actor and fail if you're a bad one. Different techniques work for different people and it is our job to find out what inspires you.

I've worked as a professional actor for many years, performed on Broadway, have my MFA in Performing Arts, and my BA in Arts and Education. I was an assistant director to Tony-winner Sharon Ott and have written and produced my own work. I have experience in both stage and camera acting, which have specific technical differences, but are both a lot of fun once you get used to the medium. So, what is improv? Improvisation, or improv, is a form of live theatre in which the plot, characters and dialogue of a game, scene or story are made up in the moment. Often improvisers will take a suggestion from the audience, or or draw on some other source of inspiration to get started.

Improvisation, in my opinion, is one of the most important talents that an actor can acquire. I feel that it is essential in method acting and, as a theatre performer who understands that anything can happen on stage in front of a live audience, it is a tool of survival. Improv can also unlock our ability to be natural and, in turn, more believable.

Last but not least, an actor who has mastered the art of improv will be more confident and less nervous on stage.

Learn to act from a Magna Cum Laude’ graduate with two communications degree. In addition, she studied for two years under a renowned playwright. she has over 20 years of acting, writing, and theatre experience. . She has written, produced and directed community and church productions. Her first professional stage play, debuted August of 2017 to a sold out audience.

She displayed her acting talents in an Evening in Elegance at the Los Angeles Theatre and at Georgia State University’s production of “She”. She headlined in the poetic, dramatic presentation of "Visions Through Me". Dancers, actors, singers and poets accompanied her. In addition to stage plays she has appeared on “The Resident”, “Lodge 49”, “Star”, “Greenleaf” and other television shows.

She is the author of two poetic and dramatic reading books, She has two novels, and is currently working on the third instalment of the four-part series. To her credit are two poetic, spoken word albums.

I am a voice and acting teacher specializing in musical theater and pop rock and other commercial forms of singing. I have training in all different acting techniques and I focus on audition and competition prep. I help performers fuse their acting and singing but can also focus on one aspect if the student so chooses. I work with many students on college auditions and thespian competitions as well. I teach all ages up to adults since I am also an adjunct faculty and have experience in teaching at the university level.
