Chelsea was very patient and listened to my concerns. She had material ready for me to play and was very kind when she corrected me. She always found something I did right even when I made mistakes. Very good teacher!

Chelsea did a great job at our first lesson! She was patient and encouraging. She gave my daughter good suggestions on how she could improve and things to try in areas she was struggling. My daughter felt so much better after the lesson. We will continue to take lessons with Chelsea

We sent music to Chelsea in advance and she was able to help my son with the difficult parts of his music. The time was well spent and she explained things well. We look forward to our next lesson and working with her over the next month to help him catch up.

About Sakinah
I was 10 years old when I started playing the violin. At the time, I was not able to afford an instrument and wasn't able to borrow one. So I had to sit in class and watch and learn through the book until one was assigned to me a few months later. It was fair to say I was behind. But the way the violin sounded, the rhythm I felt in my heart when I heard various Sonatas and other solos playing I discovered my love for this instrument. My Idol was violin soloist, Joshua Bell. And the first time our class took a field trip to the Kansas City Symphony to watch him rehearse, I worked and studied harder to play like him and ended up perfecting Vibrato watching him. From there, my love and deep understanding of the violin made me want learn more about stringed instruments and in middle school I was taught how to play the cello. Mastering both, I
took private lessons in both middle school and high school. I received 1 ratings in both District and State Championships several years in a row. I have 13 years experience playing stringed instruments. My love for music and wanting to share that love, watching the teachers I had that were so dear to me and pushed me to be my best, inspired me. It inspired me to want to be a Music Teacher and share what I learned on my own and what I was taught. And to help others master the skills necessary to be ALL they can be.

About Dana
It has been a dream of mine for a long time to be a full-time piano teacher. I have been playing piano since the age of five. Teaching is in my genes, both of my parents teach special education. My father is a music nerd as well! He shared his joy of music with me and I want to pay it forward.

Some of my strengths include patience, humor and compassion for others. I want to figure out what makes you tick. What do you want to learn about piano? I am always looking for new and exciting ways to teach piano. Did you know they make color by note coloring books? At the end of the day if I can share even a fraction of my love for music with you and you are able to learn something, that is what gives me true joy.

About Peter
I will provide a foundation for years to come as your journey to learn classical Spanish guitar begins! I have played classical guitar (Spanish guitar) for 14 years. My teachers have included the great Douglas Niedt, Joseph Armetta, John Svoboda and briefly Beau Bledsoe. I attended the UMKC Conservatory of Music for three years as a Performance Major. And I have a thorough understanding of the fundamentals to correct classical guitar technique. Classical Guitar is a beautiful instrument and is also a great way to learn electric, acoustic guitar and bass guitar as your fingers will have the dexterity, speed and agility needed to learn any type of pluckable instrument. I am kind and patient with my students. And follow their song interests as well as implementing fun exercises to broaden their ability. No question is a "stupid" question wit
h me and I take all student questions and insights with a humility to the wonders of the guitar. Take this exciting journey you've always wanted to take and learn to play the guitar beautifully! I am confident in you!
