I am new to playing the flute, self-taught for 8 months. Cooper is very personable and I think he spotted my weaknesses quickly. He was very encouraging and gave me a mixture of exercises working on the beginnings of listening and playing with another musician as well as fingering. He is going to get some theory in as well, so that’s hitting all of what is essential for me to move forward.
Cooper B.
Cooper is kind and encoraging and helped my son work through a difficult audition piece. He really related well with my son and made him feel proud of his abilities and skills. I would be glad to recommend Cooper.

Just getting started but I can tell Cooper knows what he’s doing and I’m looking forward to getting to where I want to be with the harmonica

Hi there! I am a recent music performance graduate of UT Austin looking to foster a passion for music in my students regardless of age or background. I have more than enough resources and experiences to form a teaching style that is catered to each of my student's specific needs and is both successful and rewarding. Getting to know my students on a personal level is a major part of my teaching style as I believe it fosters a gratifying learning experience. Experiencing young people grow and develop musically is one of the most fulfilling things to me and I strive to be a mentor that encourages and supports them through every aspect of their musical journey.

Here are some facts about me

I have been a student with Diane for the last few years and she is the best French teacher I have ever had. Not only is she an amazing teacher but she is also genuinely fun to be with. This year, Diane helped me pass the French B2 Certification exam - she provided me with all the resources I could have ever hoped for, and I really couldn't have done it without her! I highly recommend her for anyone

"LaMarcus is not only a great actor but a wonderful coach. He listens. And that's one of the most important things an actor/actress can do. To listen and to react. He's one of the best there is at being natural, a quality lost on a lot of people these days. Trust in him and know that you are being coached by one of the BEST."

"Chrystie is an amazing instructor! She is very enthusiastic, encouraging, and worked with my daughter's energy level. She used music appropriate to my daughter, and built up a routine over several weeks so my daughter could learn the parts. She made effective and efficient use of every minute of every lesson and appropriately pushed my daughter to learn, even though it was her first time taking tap lessons. I highly and ecstatically recommend Chrystie really to anyone because I am sure that fun, bubbly, energetic personality, combined with a high skill level, and excellent instructional strategies, can really help any student. Thank you again Christie!"

"My son is very difficult to work with. He had never seen any reason to memorize a monologue word for word. Jason had a very difficult job ahead of him, getting my son ready for his auditions for college. Through working with Jason,my son realized the value of memorization, and practicing his monologue enough times to get it down. He is attending AMDA now, and he could have picked from three colleges that he auditioned for.

Jason kept his cool and worked well through all the little shows of emotion and pique that my son put on. Jason really came through for us and we will be using his services again for our daughter. Not only does Jason know his stuff, but he knows how to work with and handle teens."
