I've been teaching voice lessons since I first started teaching 4 years ago! I've helped singers in all ranges - bass, tenor, alto & soprano - to use their voice as an instrument and refine their singing skills. I've also been singing since I can remember, and I love the personal connection we have with our voice - I also understand how scary & vulnerable it can be to sing & my lesson space is always judgment free. I'm here to help you meet your full potential. In our lessons I will create specific warm-ups & vocal exercises for you, we will learn how to sing any genre of songs, and build on the confidence you will need to be a singer.

I have been teaching and singing professionally for 10 years and hold a Master of Music degree in vocal performance and pedagogy. My teaching philosophy centers on healthy vocal technique grounded in proper breath support and vocal placement. I believe that once this is established, the principles can be applied to any genre of music you wish to sing! Classical, musical theatre, jazz, pop, you name it! I want my students to be proud of their unique vocal capabilities and have the confidence to share it whenever they step on stage.

We will cover vocal warm-ups, all necessary music theory for the genre that interests you, and any music performance needed. For students auditioning, we can have intensive rehearsal to prepare you before your audition date.

Lawrence has been teaching Pop / R&B / Gospel music since 2013. He passes on knowledge that he has gained from the great gospel singer/instructor Ken Anderson from UCSD's gospel choir, along with his own personal experiences in performing and auditioning. Lawrence is a pop/r&b/gospel singer and he can show you the exercises, little things and tips he has learned from his great vocal coach since 2010.
