I am currently a Doctoral candidate at The Juilliard School. I have been teaching students range from 7 years-old to people who are in their 70s. Helping students from different back ground, age group, and levels of playing has been very rewarding. I help my students preparing for their recitals, competitions, all state exams, or simply learning a new piece of music. I believe in tailoring teaching to each student's needs. Hi, I'm Rachel. I just graduated from the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester this May, with my Bachelor's degree in Cello Performance. This summer I relocated to the Philadelphia area, which is where I am originally from. I have been playing cello since I was five years old & I have experience with the Suzuki method as well as other approaches. I teach music theory and give private cello lessons to students of all ages and levels. While my background is in classical music, my goal is to help my students master any piece of music they are excited about. I am so excited to share my love for the cello with any and all potential students.

Isaiah is a passionate instructor and brings his love of the cello and performance to students of all ages and backgrounds. Ensuring that each of his students receives a highly individualized learning experience, Isaiah spends a great deal of time creating unique plans of study for each pupil. He strives to make lessons engaging, fast-paced, and exciting. Isaiah has worked for several non-profit arts organizations, youth orchestras, and school systems teaching the cello, all the while maintaining a sizable private cello studio. He has taken advanced coursework in music pedagogy, teaching artistry, and Alexander Technique, incorporating modern techniques as well as practices from the rich history of cello tutelage into his teaching methods. I love teaching strings. Cello was my first instrument. I focus heavily on bow technique. I have gotten students into youth orchestras and passed college auditions. I like to use the Essential Elements and Suzuki books.
I also offer online group lessons at a highly discounted price. I suggest that all my students join. This is a great option for kids while class is out.

I have been playing the cello for 20 years and started teaching in 2010. I use a hybrid Suzuki method, that introduces learning music a little earlier. For more advanced cellists, we concentrate on advanced methods and etudes to refine the craft.
