I have over 20 years experience teaching flute players ranging from beginners through advanced. We work hard and have a lot of fun!
Many of my students have had successful auditions for honor/state groups and youth orchestras, and have won scholarships for college. My local students perform several times throughout the year in studio recitals, local flute events and giving back to the community. I work with my online students to find ways for them to perform as well.
I love teaching and watching my student achieve new goals and play things they thought were impossible. Everything takes work, but with repetition, encouragement, and fun, it is all possible!
I believe that each student will be successful when they enjoy learning and have something concrete to show for it. It is my privilege to work with students to achieve their goals in an encouraging, fun, hard-working environment. I have worked for over 20 years with many different kinds of stude

Have you ever heard the expression, "those who can't, teach!"? Well you can disregard that in this case. As a newbie to vocal lessons; but as a veteran within the creative arts and business world, I can effortlessly say Keira knows what she's doing. With the educational aspects implemented, she helps you understand how everything works. Therefore allowing you to efficiently utilize your voice in a very fun and engaging manner.
I immediately walked away with a new sensation that I have never felt before, which was the amazing rush of singing in front of a complete stranger; and not in a karaoke type of way either. Even throughout the cracks and awkward pitches, I walked away having gained a new confidence and appreciation for singing. That's what it's all about!
So if you're seeking a coach - stop! - because she's not only a coach, but she is super talented to say the least and you'll have no choice but to become better when you soak up her knowledge. Not to mention, she's just a super cool person, so learn from her before she's too famous to have time!"
I am an older adult who had always wanted to play some of the popular and older songs for family and friends. I had tried to teach myself but had only limited success and very slow progress. As much as I tried to understand the theory behind playing piano I continued to get frustrated. I decided to look for someone who would understand my objectives and be patient enough to help me actually be able to play piano. Rina was perfect. She understood what I was looking for, was excellent in mixing piano theory with playing, and presented a very comfortable learning environment. She also was patient with my ability to learn and never made me feel uncomfortable in our practice sessions. What a difference having a great piano teacher makes in learning a skill like playing piano. Highly recommended and was exactly what I wanted in a music instructor. I plan to continue my piano lessons with Rina; she has made me realize I can do this!"
I have learned quite a number of songs that I have always wanted to learn to play but thought I couldn't because the difference in skill was too great. I am a huge fan of Lindsey Stirling and because of Carly, I have learned how to play Take Flight, First Light, Brave Enough, River Flows in You, Hallelujah, Beyond the Veil. Take Flight was the song that made me want to learn the violin and I am ecstatic to say that I can play it.
If you decide you want to learn the violin or another instrument that she plays, you can't go wrong with Carly!"
