I am able to teach trumpet in respect to many different styles including jazz, salsa, classical, funk, and many more.

I can teach any level of trumpet playing. Classical, Jazz, funk.
Beginners or advanced players. I have studied trumpet with many of the best teachers in America, including John Haynie, Bert Truax, locally Gilbert Castellanos and Arturo Sandoval. The list is too long to name the all,but I have had opportunities to learn from many of the most famous players.

Trumpet lessons with Arias are always tailored to the individual student and that student's needs in order to facilitate maximum growth as a trumpet player and musician. Arias believes in an individualized approach, meeting the student where he/she is and moving forward through the developmental process, beginning with a strong base of fundamentals and an ever-present focus on musicality, expression, and exploration as an artist. Arias works to foster a positive learning environment where the student can learn and develop a positive self-image and confidence, while working to create a strong base of fundamentals and good playing habits to then transfer to musical settings.

I recently retired, after 37 years of teaching beginners through high school age students. In addition, I have remained active my entire life as a Trumpet player, performing in orchestras, concert bands, jazz ensembles, brass ensembles and as a soloist throughout the Twin Cities area. Many of my students (hundreds!) have auditioned and qualified for All-State Bands, honor bands, college scholarships, etc. My goals as a teacher: help the student learn to love making music on the Trumpet, help them increase their Trumpet skills significantly and help them grow as a happy person exploring the fun and exciting world of music!

Experienced trumpet teacher of 5 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of musicianship skills. I specialize in Classical and Jazz, and typically use books such as Arban's Complete Conservatory Method for Trumpet, Clarke Technical Studies for the Cornet, Real Books, Jazz Trumpet Solos, and other jazz instructional books.

I have been teaching Trumpet for 2 years, I am a college senior with one more semester. I Specialize in growing beginner to intermediate players and intermediate players to advanced players. Lessons are customized to the needs of each student. Students will all grow to understand music theory, become better readers, Improved technique, and richer tones. Let's get started.
