I have an extensive background in writing and editing for a variety of media outlets -- newspapers, magazines, websites and more -- which means I have been required to produce high-quality material very quickly. You can do the same. I will work with you to learn techniques that will allow you to write quickly and clearly. It's not as difficult as you might think!

I currently tutor and provide homework help to students in grades K-8.
I enjoy writing, and have an excellent understanding of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, vocabulary, and writing style.
I also understand and am sympathetic to the various difficulties that students may experience with writing. I am patient, always willing to listen and answer questions, and always eager to help each student express him/herself well in writing.

As a seasoned writer, I help students with everything from basic spelling and grammar, to crafting the perfect paper, to writing an engaging essay using the best writing techniques. Whatever you want to write, I give you the tools to write it the best way you can.

Writing is a challenge, and without the right guidance, it can be difficult to overcome the built-in intimidation factor. It's my goal to break through those barriers. I have several years of experience in the field as both teacher and tutor. I currently teach English classes at a University and tutor students throughout the Bay Area. My specialties are working with students aged 16-20, but have comfort and experience with ages far outside that range as well. I'm a patient, understanding tutor, and I work well with confident writers and writers still trying to learn the English language -- as well as everyone in between. I know what it takes to write an essay for high school and college classes; I also know how to help you understand what instructors are looking for and how to improve you writing so you don't need regular tutoring going forward.

Improving writing is a challenging process. I applaud you for taking the first steps toward enhancing this fine craft.

Though I teach for a living while completing my degree, I'm also a writer. Research and essay writing appeal to me especially, not to mention fiction.
