Piano:
A great instrument to learn if a basic and well laid out instrument suits you best. The notes are easy to find and with my method it will be easy to learn so you will playing songs in no time. I always start from the very beginning and only move on when the student feels confident about the lesson. Learning to play piano is a lot of fun and very rewarding. I will teach you the basics of finger technique, notes, music notation, reading music, rhythms, songs, theory, etc. Piano and all instruments will bring much joy to your life.

We study baroque, classical, and romantic period music, pop, jazz, blues, music theory, and technique all rolled into one piano lesson as students progress.
Everyone studies piano for different reasons! I'm happy to guide my students along whatever their path may be.

I incorporate music theory and ear trainning skills. It is very important to me that my students learn how to read sheet music and learn how to play by ear. I not only teach what's in the textbook, but I allow my students to learn the most current songs out there. I also hold professional recitals that showcase my students.

A solid, artistic, and flexible piano technique from the beginning. One of the fundamental parts in learning to play piano is to learn the basics of piano technique, which includes proper posture of the body when sitting to play piano, proper fingers, hands, and arms position. The development of the arm and hand flexibility in order to learn the legato and staccato performance from the beginning of the piano studies.

Throughout my 20 years of teaching experience I have developed different methods for children and adults to build a flexible and artistic piano technique that has worked with all my students.

The proper use of the arm rotation, wrist flexibility and how the wrists and arms help to lead the direction of the phrases are fundamentals to attain a beautiful and rich tone .

I studied piano at the University of Central Florida and can teach classical piano, music notation, sight reading, harmonic theory, scales, arpeggios, chord progressions, and improvisation. I'm happy to share my skills and expertise with novice players of all ages.

Jack has been teaching piano for 7 years and maintains an active studio of children, teenagers, and adults with diverse musical interests. Jack began his classical piano training at the Manhattan School of Music and continued his studies at the University of Chicago.
