I just recently started with Dee. She is doing a great job of helping me realistically assess my performance, and constructively set goals to improve the aspects that need work. It's been fun and very helpful.

Our 8 year old son had his first Guitar lesson with Dee this past weekend, and she was amazing. She wasted no time getting down to brass tacks with our son, showing him the various parts of the guitar, how to hold it and within minutes he knew two chords. She was able to keep our kiddo engaged, offered great praise and positive feedback/reinforcement and kept him on task for the entire 45 minute lesson. We could not be happier and cannot wait to see what he learns during his next lessons with her!

Hire Concetta, especially to support a beginning violin player! She is warm, professional and very adept at finding your child's musical strengths and then identifying material to help them access and enjoy the music and instrument. I teach viola using the Suzuki method, with an emphasis on technique and intonation.
I am Andy. I am a graduate of the California Institute of the Arts with a BFA degree in Composition/Violin Performance. I will be attending school again in the Fall to get my teaching certificate to teach in the public school system. My violin playing has been featured on Glee, with Kevin Olusola (Pentatonix), and guitar featured on shows like Rachel Ray and Dr. Phil. My main passions are songwriting, and collaborating with other great musicians all over the country.
I have been a private music teacher for the past 8 years and it has been an extremely rewarding journey. My students love their lessons with me, and parents love that I am patient and more open-minded than most music teachers out there. Students say I am friendly and funny, and fun to learn with. My teaching style on the violin is centered around the Suzuki method, but I l
eave a lot of flexibility to cater lessons around your interests. If you ask to play a certain song, I will find a way to help you play it. Every goal is achievable with practice, dedication, and fun!
Andy always manages to motivate my daughter and get her to enjoy playing her viola, which is no mean feet! She looks forward to the lessons and has improved greatly over the last couple of years.

Andy has been teaching my son piano for the last two years. My son always looks forward to going to piano with Andy and he has made so much progress. Andy is very communicative about my son's progress and ideas he has for new goals. Andy is very good at helping my son keep his enthusiasm for piano. He is also sensitive about where my son is at in terms of what he needs to strengthen or if any adjustments need to be made. I highly recommend Andy, not only as a music teacher, but as a person with whom you would want yourself or children to spend time with each week.

It was apparent in the first lesson that Susanna is an experienced, understanding, thorough, and patient teacher. She carefully covered all the basics: different parts of the violin, proper posture, finger positions, etc., making it easy for our daughter to get started on the violin. She corrected our daughter’s mistakes right away and moved on only when our daughter got a good grasp of the material.
All ages are welcome! Viola is one of my secondary instruments and I would love to pass on my passion for music to my students. Students can expect to learn how to play the viola with proper technique in a way that is unique to each student. Brynn’s students will also learn basic music theory, which includes reading notes, rhythms and key signature recognition for all major and minor keys. Students can also expect to improve their overall musicianship skills while earning audition skills and gaining overall confidence. I cannot wait to work with you.
Brynn is an experienced violinist currently earning her bachelor's degree in violin performance at Youngstown State University under the guidance of Joseph Kromholz. She has been playing the violin for 13 years. She is classically trained but enjoys playing other styles of music as well. She has been a part of many honors ensembles such as PMEA District 1 Orchestra, PMEA Honors Orchestra and Strings North in PA. At Youngstown State University, Brynn participates in the Dana Chamber Orchestra, Dana Symphony Orchestra, and various chamber groups.
Along with participating in the ensembles offered at her college, she regularly performs with the Shenango High School pit orchestra each spring under the direction of Doug Butchy. Brynn has performed at Carnegie Hall in NYC, the Covelli Center, DeYor Performing Arts Center and Stambaugh Audito
rium in Youngstown, OH. Brynn frequently plays with the Greenville Symphony Orchestra as a substitute violinist in Greenville, PA.
Brynn also teaches each summer at Cello Fury Rock Camp which is an alternative strings camp based in Pittsburgh, PA. The students learn extended techniques and play rock music in both an orchestra and chamber music setting. She helps in masterclass, orchestra and she coaches the rock bands throughout camp since 2015.
Brynn's organized, individualized and friendly teaching style can help her students reach their musical goals. Her students can expect to improve each week in their technique and overall musicality. Each lesson is tailored to the individual students and she wants her students to have fun, love music and improve throughout their lessons. She uses the Suzuki books, the Barbara Barber scale method, Sevcik, Schradieck and student requests to help them achieve their musical goals. Brynn would love to help pass her passion for music along to her students and cannot wait to work with you!
Brynn offers lessons in the Youngstown area online and at her teacher location all year. Lessons at her home studio in Pittsburgh are offered during the summer months.
Brynn has child abuse clearances and criminal background checks (with fingerprints) in OH and PA.
It was our first lesson and as a parent I trust Brynn to position my daughter to be a great violin player. As she instructed my child she also made sure that I understood what she was teaching so that I can assist her with practices at home. This was very forward thinking and I appreciated her sharing her knowledge with me! My daughter has a great time!

Brynn is patient and kind while always pushing my daughter to reach for her potential. Being in the military we move frequently enough that it has disrupted our daughters passion for the violin. Her current school lumps all kids together based on grade not skill and that has been "boring". We are happy to see not only new things learned but our daughter is back to finding songs and attempting to learn them and practicing during homework breaks. Brynn has been phenomenal and I highly recommend her to anyone that wants to learn and have fun.
Have you or your kids always wanted to learn to play the viola? I am an experienced strings teacher specialized in beginner and intermediate students of ALL ages. I believe that it is never too late to learn to play the viola, no matter your age! I teach classical viola through Suzuki method and also modern viola with a focus on rock, jazz and improvisation.
After studying piano for almost 10 years I decided I wanted to learn a new instrument and began taking violin lessons when I was 16 years old. In spite of people telling me that I was “too old” to learn to play the violin, I continued practicing and one year later I joined my first orchestra. In 2016 I graduated with a BA in Music from the University of Massachusetts Boston and I am now the violinist of Boston-based fusion rock band " The Sunset Kings". In November of 2018, I released my Spanish debut single "Ni Una Más" under my artist name "Hannah Schzde". "Ni Una Más" is now available in every music streaming service world-wide! In addition to offering private violin and piano lessons and performing with The Sunset Kings, I am also a studio violinist and perform with different orchestra pits in the Boston area while I continue to wri
te and record new material for my upcoming debut EP. ***Note: My availability is flexible! Please send me a message if my calendar doesn't fit with your schedule and we'll work it out!***
Hannah was so patient working with squirmy five year old! He really likes it too!

Hannah does a wonderful job with my daughter, she started with how to tune and set up the violin. Hannah does a great job working with my daughter showing her the proper technique and providing her exercises and activities to do in between lessons. You can tell Hannah loves teaching and music.

Hannah is a very dedicated and patient instructor. She always tries to keep the lessons interesting and fun, she also makes sure I take little stretch breaks in between exercises and always teaches me something new!
