Classical Voice Lessons in Mound. Amazing Teachers.

Graduate of Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ with a degree in classical Voice Performance. I begin teaching with the fundamentals of healthy technique. While I am trained in and teach bel canto/classical voice, I believe the fundamentals of healthy, relaxed singing are useful in any genre and in ensemble singing. By freeing the voice in this way: singing feels easier, the tone becomes more colorful, and the singer is able to truly express the message of the song.

I'm an experienced Vocal teacher/coach for over 13 years that's looking to work with eager students of all experience levels from ages 5 & up! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation in what they need to know to be successful.

I am a licensed K-12 music instructor, private voice and piano teacher, and a voice habilitation teacher. I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in music and certifications in Vocology and Orff-Schulwerk.
I use a variety of teaching methods that are visual, aural, and kinesthetic based to customize lessons that meet the unique needs of every student!
I use professional recording equipment and multiple camera angles in conjunction with video online conferencing platforms to provide the best possible experience online.
My mission is to provide musical opportunities through voice and piano to interested students, and to work with individuals who have sustained vocal damage from misuse/trauma by teaching healthy vocal techniques to improve their speaking/singing voice

I approach my teaching by finding every singer's true and honest voice, and then exploring ways to make that voice as free and beautiful as possible. In the course of our lessons I will utilize techniques to explore breath control, resonance, range and freedom of not only the voice, but the body's ability to express while performing.

Every person that is capable of speech is capable of singing beautifully, and I fully embrace that mantra as a teacher. With that approach, I teach a wide variety of styles, ranging from Music Theater to classically informed Operatic Singing. Let's make some music!
