I offer all levels of viola lessons.

I love the viola; I'm primarily a violist and love nothing more. I would love to share my passion with you or your child!

I have a Master's degree in Viola Performance, and viola is my primary instrument. I have received extensive instruction on the minutiae of the viola, and can help you with any need that you many have!

I tailor my approach to each student. Some students require more technical work, some require interpretive. Both are fascinating and can be taught with structure and clarity.

I strive to create an environment in which students are inspired to discover, create, learn, express themselves and have fun. I focus on strengthening students' foundational techniques, through scales, etudes and other materials and then applying those skills in pieces and songs that are designed to build a good basis of musical knowledge, helping students to become confident in their musical abilities.

I teach scales, technique, shifting, vibrato, tonal exercises, solo pieces, and theory. I also teach group ensembles, trios, quartets, etc., in Classical, Religious, Fiddle, Pop. I help students with their school orchestral music and audition pieces also.
