I also explained my level of experience and was assured Raycurt was qualified to teach at the level I needed, but he came off as less knowledgable than me, which was particularly disappointing.
Worst of all, after multiple hours of speaking on the phone, I couldn't get my money back for this lesson.
I'd strongly recommend not using takelessons at all, they've put a horrible taste in my mouth for their entire service.

Having spent 14 years of my life baton twirling, I have gained a great understanding of not only the basics of baton twirling, but how to teach twirling as well. I am an advanced baton twirler who is also a feature twirler for the University of Texas at San Antonio marching band. I have experience teaching the basics of baton twirling to the youngest twirlers, as well as refining the routines of more experienced twirlers. I provide lessons that are tailored around your students needs and goals to ensure they are given the best chance possible to succeed. If your child is interested in baton twirling, contact me and I'd be more than happy to work with them!

My strong background in Vocal Pedagogy includes a working knowledge of the anatomy of the vocal mechanism and the acoustical physics of sound production. These fundamentals can be applied for significant and often immediate improvement in sound quality both in sing and in spoken word. Targeted diagnosis of the issues and clear remedies are the name of the game. These lessons are for those that are looking to gain confidence and stamina for presentations at work, or for those looking to overcome speech difficulties.

He provides constructive guidance on what you're doing wrong, and I'm happy to see myself improve under his tutorage. (oh and if you're a sci-fi fan, you'll have a lot in common with him)

I love how she works with me and I feel like I can relax into learning because of her personality. I don’t feel pressured or anxious which is really helpful. She’s very attentive and considerate, which I seriously appreciate. I feel like I’m already learning a lot and I look forward to our next lesson!"
She was so attentive to ALL her students, no matter your level. She always found time to work with you in whatever you were struggling with. She really truly cared about us. It was unlike anything I'd experienced with any other teacher I'd have ever. At one point, I was victim to some intimidation from another student in my class. Alex was the first person I confided in and she guided me through what I should do and how I should handle it, she was completely there for me, even allowing me to call her past 10pm to calm me down after one particularly bad encounter with said student.
Her lessons are prepared, structured and completely engaging. Somehow she is able to detect exactly what you personally need to work on and makes sure you are offered the most appropriate advice that best suits your personal needs. I can't even quite express how much I have learnt from her in the short four months that she was my teacher. She has exposed me to so many different techniques and exercises which, through her guidance, afforded me the opportunity to choose what worked for me.
If there is one thing that you cannot deny about Alex, she genuinely cares about her students, sometime to the detriment of her own life. She is an extraordinary teacher and an even more exceptional woman.
As cliche as this is, she inspires me to not only be a better actor, but to just be a better person."

Stars like Meryl Streep and Al Pacino make it look easy, but if you want to become a professional actor, don't expect to rely on talent alone. Even if you're a natural performer who can cry on command and memorize lines, you'll need to learn the following fundamental drama techniques to really master the art of acting. 1. Vocal Dynamics Your lines are just words until you deliver them, but unless your voice is well-trained, they'll still fall flat or sound forced. In order to accurately port …

Good monologues are hard to find. They are even harder to find when we are talking about film. Film is a very fast moving medium. We, as an audience, have been trained to expect to see something new every few seconds. Live theatre, however, has enjoyed a long and enriching relationship with the sustained attention of the monologue. Here, we are just going to focus on movie monologues for men, and how they help the actor hone their skills. First, we need to define the thing we are looking …
