My first lesson with Zach was great! 5 stars. He asked the right questions as to what aI am looking to do. And we quickly came up with a lesson plan that with the right amount of work in my part will get me headed in the right direction. Zach does a great job of making his students feel comfortable and good about their abilities.

My students are free to explore different genres of their choosing, ie. Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock. I specialize in jazz and classical theory and composition but have a very broad knowledge base and can teach most genres of music. All of my students learn foundational skills such as sight reading, theory, proper piano technique, improvisation, composition, performance, recording, and producing. Lessons are fun and flexible. I try to foster the musical interests and creativity of my students. Students participate regularly in "virtual" recitals.

Joey is the best kind of teacher--he challenges my son and makes it fun for him. He pushes my son outside of his comfort zone, but in a good way. My son's technique and tone have improved so much. And best of all, he's really enjoying Joey as his teacher!
Suzie
Joey has been teaching piano to my 9 year old son for almost a year now. We are very happy with the relationship our son and Joey have, and with our son’s progress. My husband and I both studied music in college, and we’ve both been music teachers at various points in our careers. We know a solid teacher when we see one. Joey somehow manages to set high expectations for our son while remaining laid back and fun. He lets our son explore different types of music as our son’s interest changes. We find that flexibility refreshing and necessary to keep young kids interested. Out of all his activities, our son loves piano the most, and a lot of that has to do with the quality of teaching he receives from Joey. Speaking of flexibility, Joey has adapted his teaching seamlessly to teaching via zoom (his lessons were previously taught in our home), and even put together a lovely virtual recital for all the kids in his studio during the covid-19 social distancing situation. We heard about Joey from friends, and continue to recommend him to others.
Andrea
Joey is knowledgable and talented in his craft. My energetic five year old son looks forward to his lessons each week. Joey is an experienced teacher, his lesson structure and management skills keep my son on task and learning. He is patient and flexible. We highly recommend Joey as a music teacher. These lessons are an investment in our child’s future and we consider ourselves extremely lucky to have found Joey.

"Cândida is a very talented and dedicated musician. She clearly also has a passion for teaching since she takes great pleasure in helping students discover and develop their full potential. Simply put, she combines the perfect skills for an effective learning experience. I highly recommend her for anyone who loves music.
On a more personal note, a bit of how I met Cândida. I first started playing piano a long time ago but, after a couple of years, quit and never tried again. I had been willing to get back to classes for a while but hesitated several times. Cândida played a central role in encouraging me to do that and making me comfortable in this new beginning. Our connection was immediate and I have been taking lessons with her since then. During this time, it has also been very inspiring to learn from such a young yet experienced musician. Her method is very practical: although it is naturally easier to interact in in-presence, her Skype lessons really work. She has also been very flexible with regards to schedule. And, most importantly, always welcomes you to class with a bright Brazilian smile.
Again, could not recommend her more! Enjoy!"

"My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed taking piano and voice lessons with Angela for a few years now and now our daughter is starting lessons so it's turning into a family affair.

Angela is a fantastic teacher. She is extremely knowledgeable and her enthusiasm and love for music is contagious. She is an incredible cheerleader and always has something good to say about a student's work and the use of their strengths. She builds on strengths very well. And she balances this with useful feedback and goals for improvement.

I cannot recommend her enough!"

"After David became my children’s piano teacher, they began to look forward to their piano lessons – something that had not occurred with their prior piano teachers. David plays magically and even more important for me than his being a wonderful musician and a fantastic piano teacher is the inspiration that he serves for my kids. It’s clear he loves to teach the standard 12-bar blues in rare styles such as boogie woogie. My older son was so inspired he ended up going to a high school with a music specialty and plans to major in music. We are very grateful to David for igniting what we hope will be a life-long passion for music in our children."
