IMPROVISERS! (Classical See below)
Have you always wanted to play violin by ear?!  To play all of your favorite songs or play in a band?!
Can you hum or whistle? Can you sing what you hear, even a few notes of it?

If so, I can help you discover the improviser that already exists inside of you! It's gonna be fun🙂
And yes you will still have to run scales, there is no getting around it... I tried.
Under 16, parents must attend the full lesson and will assist in daily music practice.

CLASSICAL
You want a teacher who will set you up with the foundational technique you need while bringing in songs you've always wanted to learn.

We will go through the Suzuki Method books with supplemental material (though I am not a Suzuki teacher) to instill the art of balanced violin playing into your body and motor functions while our minds play with the beauty of rhythm, timing, tone, expression, and musicality. When you are ready, I am happy to arrange songs that fit your interest in addition to ...

About Daniel

I love playing Jazz, Hip hop, Indie Rock, and Classical music. I've even been known to teach a fiddle tune or two. If you want a strict classical track, we will work out of the Suzuki Method books while supplementing with some of your favorite popular tunes when you are ready. I try to find out

It was a very musically enriching experience for each of my kids, who are litle by little growing as violinists.
Sofia provided a great variety of recommendations through her knowledge as interpreter and teacher as well as cautivated everyone in the room with her passion and energy for music.

A long time scholarship student of the greatest violinist of all times Jascha Heifetz, international Concertmaster of major orchestras around the world and concert debut 72 years ago, I have the longest international career in the world among living violinists. Googling my name will give around 2 million results in ½ a second. Taking lessons with me might be slightly more than average, but will save you a lot of wasted time and money in the long run; acquiring bad habits from inexperienced instructors are practically impossible to uproot later. There is no substitute for 75 years of top international experience.

About Adam

Please google “Adam Han-Gorski” - there will be about 2 million results in half a second, easier than writing here. With a debut in March 21, 1948 (can be seen on YouTube), I am one of the handful of musicians alive with the longest international career in the world. With that kind of experience y

My son (almost 7-years-old) just finished his first lesson with Margaret. She was able to explain things in a way that he understands. He was able to get a good idea of how to hold his fiddle and bow...which is a hard skill to teach online. He is very shy, but was comfortable with having me sit next to him. After the lesson, he told me, “That was worth every minute!” He loved it.

"Just finished our first violin lesson on-line and it was great! Krisztina's very nice and very patient! Already in one lesson I learned so much! Krisztina was able to explain technical concepts in a clear and simple way. She provided excellent examples and demonstrations on bow placement and finger/wrist relaxation (just to name a few things). It's really awesome to have a teacher with so much experience and musical ability. Also, she is kind and encouraging. I look forward to many more lessons!"

"Out of all of my teachers that I've had over the years, Jill has given me the most thorough lessons I've ever had. Most of my teachers have focused heavily on repertoire, and ignored the basics of scales and etudes. As a result, I always found them tedious, but Jill breaks everything down into smaller pieces so I don't get bored or overwhelmed. She always comes up with new ways of working on old techniques that help me overcome old, deep-seated habits and difficulties."

"Kan W. is such an amazing teacher. She gave me all her time. She was very flexible with me even though when she just had her new born baby. I am a beginner and I had a special request from Kan to learn a song to play on my wedding (which was last September). In three months she taught me two! she did more than enough on her part to teach me how to play the songs that I picked. She was very helpful with the process. She simplified the notes for me, found easy version and even went through the notes I found and listened to my examples. She also has great techniques for practicing. I loved her approach. Besides all of this, she was really motivational. She is a great teacher. I look forward to take lessons with her again."
