Paula is a passionate teacher with diverse musical styles who lives in Houston, TX. Paula has over 8 years of experience in music instruction. She primarily teaches piano and voice. Her students range as young as pre-school all the way to older adults. Paula was musically trained at very young age. At the age of 5 she already began singing in font of her church congregation. At the age of 7 she began taking piano lessons. Paula has entered in many music competitions such as NATS, GMA and all regions. Born in Washington DC, I have been singing and studying voice since the age of 4. Starting out as a Broadway style belter and transitioning to opera mid-way through University, I have experienced many different vocal techniques and teachers. My voice was not an easy one to train and it took many years of searching to find a healthy technique that worked for me. For this reason I am dedicated to understanding each students vocal differences and help them reach the height of their potential. I am a third generation musician on both sides of my family, and am continuing the tradition in my father's footsteps as a drum and percussion instructor. I am a member of the American Federation of Musicians, local 65-699 in Houston, TX.
