I have been playing guitar for 4 years now and I would love the opportunity to teach others the skill. I have a guitar already but if you want to use yours that is fine too. Music has always been a passion of mine, and I hope to get people just as excited about it as I am.

About Kyra

I have been playing guitar for 4 years. I try to listen to all types of music so I can be a more versatile teacher. I enjoy helping people do hands-on things, and I try to use different styles because I believe everyone is different.

I have taught guitar at various music schools from beginner to intermediate for about 3 years.

About Jonathan

John is a very effective teacher. I took bass lessons and I have improved so much. John is an amazing teacher and I would recommend him to anyone looking to learn the bass guitar or upright bass.

Jonathan taught me when I was around middle school age and has left a lasting impression on how I approach the bass and music 10-ish years later. Under his tutelage I learned music theory, techniques, and all sorts of different genres and styles.

His lessons were always very professional. I always felt challenged, but not overwhelmed, by the material being taught. He also made it easy to be interested in the lessons; he would always ask if there's any song or genre that I wanted to learn and that sort of thing.

Overall, definitely a 5/5 top shelf educator and musician.

I only had Marc for a couple months (unfortunately had to move), but he is a phenomenal teacher and I recommend to anyone. He's very easy to communicate with and strikes a great balance between the technical learning you need with having fun.

I only got to take lessons from Marc for a couple of months in the summer of 2016 (I had to move away for work), but he is hands down the best music teacher I've ever encountered. It's a year and a half later and I'm still benefitting from his tutelage. From beginner to advanced, you've found the right guy for the job.

Lessons are structured according to the level and age of the student. I believe that teacher's approach must be flexible and according to the student's need, their personal goals and development.
Apart from introduction and building of pianistical skills and musical understanding - theory and ear training, sight reading, I also try to introduce repertoire from different epoques and genres which helps student broaden their knowledge.

About Sandra

I have been teaching piano and theory since year 2000. Apart from teaching privately, I served in music elementary, middle and high schools in Belgrade. Residing in Miami from June 2015, I served in Miami Fine Arts Academy, Music Works and Allegro. Bachelor Degree in Piano from Belgrade Universi

When I came to Sandra I was one month away from my college piano audition and in need of a miracle. I had to prepare four quite difficult pieces and I had not taken any piano lessons since I was 12 years old (over 6 years). I knew this sounded very impossible but I went for it anyway. A month later, I got accepted into the Piano Performance program. So basically, Sandra is a miracle worker. She didn't only help me ace these pieces from scratch and learn the proper way and style to play them in, but she also helped me record my audition tapes and let me use her piano for them. She took her own personal time to give me extra help so I could get into this university and she was always supportive and caring too. Not only is she a piano master, but she is also extremely nice so every lesson was very pleasant and enjoyable. My piano skills greatly improved in just a month and I cannot thank her enough for everything she's helped me achieve. So if you are looking for an amazing piano teacher, you just found her! Seriously, look no further, you will not be disappointed.

Mitchell has been great. He is instructing my 10 year old and he is very patient, encouraging, and knowledgeable. He is always available for questions and responds quickly. Mitchell has the experience and background we were looking for, so I'm very glad we found him.

I had the honor to work with Mitch over the course of 2 years. He was so patient with me, taking his time to not only teach me how to play the bass but to cultivate a deeper understanding of music theory. He always made me feel comfortable with the level I was at and it was awesome to see him perform on a weekly basis with some of NOLA's jazz greats. I'm looking forward to working with Mitch again!

"I was impressed after one lesson - clear, concise explanations, attention to how I learn (visual, memorization, or through physical learning) so that lessons and instructions could be tailored to my learning style. Encouraging, energetic and profesional. I couldn't be more excited to have her as a teacher and suddenly this all seems a lot less anxiety-inducing and far more enjoyable. Totally banished the bad memories of grade-school music classes, which put me off learning an instrument for many decades."

As an adult beginner, I appreciate how patient he is and he explains technique/fundamentals in a way I can understan. I definitely feel challenged, and I leave each lesson wanting to practice for the next lesson. He’s also provided a lot of guidance for purchasing a cello and bow. Awesome experience so far."

What Age is Best to Start Learning Guitar?

Is there a best age for learning guitar? We asked guitar teacher Linda L., who has taught young children, teens, adults, and seniors for her take... My opinion on the best age at which to start learning guitar has evolved over the years. I started teaching myself to play the guitar at the age of 14. The book that I used to teach myself featured photos of a 7-year-old girl demonstrating how each chord was to be played. The author of the book told the readers that he had this youn …
