A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, I possess a wealth of experience with the English language. Whether English is your native language, or whether you are beginning to wrestle with it as your second language, I can assist you in a fun filled, yet productive, one-on-one tutoring environment.
Lawrence loves to teach music, especially piano and organ. He began studying the piano at age 5; by age 12 he was studying the pipe organ and performing at church services in his hometown of Springfield, Illinois.
A graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan and the University of Massachusetts in Boston, he has continued his private musical studies throughout his adult life with distinguished faculty members from the Cornell College School of Music, the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music and the Winthrop University Conservatory of Music.
Presently, he teaches private music lessons in Rio Rancho and Albuquerque, and is the Director of Music & Liturgy at Church of the Incarnation in Rio Rancho. He is a member of the American Guild of Organists.
I am a patient, enthusiastic teacher in the following areas: piano, violin, cello, drums, music history, and music theory. I have taught vocal and instrumental music in both Catholic and Public schools, and in after-school programs, for 20 years, and have been giving private lessons for 9 years. I enjoy teaching music to all age students, and especially enjoy watching my students grow in their music ability.
I received my Bachelor of Arts from Marygrove College in Detroit in Language Arts with minors in Music Education and History, and my Masters Degree from Wayne State University in Education with emphasis on English as a Second Language and Sign Language for the Deaf. I have studied Music Education for K-5 at Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan. I am also a published author of five children's books. You can find them through my
publisher Xlibris. com and they are called Peggy, The Three-Some Book 2, The Writer's Corner Book 3, The Golden Nugget Book 4, The 1940 Diary Book 7. When you go onto their web-site put in my pen name of N.K.Beckley and they should come up. Emily Book 5 will be out sometime in March 2017 and books 6,8.9.10 should be out by Fall of 2017. These are books for students in grades 4th through 8th grades and are also interactive books. I hope you enjoy them. I also tutor for Take Lessons Grades 1 to Grade 8 all subjects except higher level Math.
*** Lesson Details *** Piano: All students start out learning both Treble and Bass Clefs, and their lines and spaces. Each student then starts to learn their major scales with both right and left hand for piano. They also learn the note values, and are able to put them together in a song. I use Michael Aaron curriculum, which takes in all of the above and their technique lessons. I use all the Michael Aaron Book One, Lessons, Theory, Technic, and Performance Books for any student that is age 6 and above and I would ask that parents would buy them from Anderson Music in Dearborn, Michigan as well as any other lesson books listed below before they come to my home for lessons.
Cello: Using String Builder and Strictly Strings, the students learn the bass clef, lines and spaces, scales, and songs. Students will learn how to hold their bow correctly.I have played cello in the Waterford New Horizons Concert Band for over six years. I have also been the only cellist they have as a member of the band.
Violin: Using String Builder and Strictly Strings, students will learn lines and spaces of the treble clef, note values, major scales, and songs. Students will learn how to hold their bow correctly.
Drums: Using Rockin’ Rhythm Raps, and using drum pads instead of drums, students will learn the correct way to hold drum sticks and the rhythms of all the notes in the treble and bass clefs. They will also learn songs to play.
*** Studio Equipment *** Upright piano w/ seating for parents
*** Specialties *** I enjoy teaching beginners in any area, because then you can see how far they have come at the end of the year.
Kathy is a kind, patient and methodical teacher. She develops your piano skills with a structured program of theory and exercises geared toward constant improvement. She has helped me improve my piano technique throughout our time together. I have been able to play increasingly challenging pieces on a regular basis with her. I look forward to steadily improving my piano skills.

I have recently returned from a week long stay at the Sonatina Piano Camp in Bennington VT and would like to notify all those piano students who may read this review as to the wonderful experience attending this camp can be. The camp takes adult piano students at all piano skill levels from beginner to well accomplished. Students stay in shared rooms (2-4 persons) which includes a piano in every room. Attendance is usually 18- 27 persons. The mansion itself is home to approx. 30 pianos. All meals are provided (and are outstanding) as well as piano classes and 4 lessons with concert pianists or university piano professors. Ample time is provided to practice a performance piece for the end of week performance night. Master classes are given on several evenings for those wishing to perform a work in progress piece for the attendees and the camp owner providing a public lesson.
I have found that the attending student group to be extremely supportive to all other students especially to those experiencing performance anxiety. Repeating attendees (from all over the country) have formed lasting friendships among themselves which have endured for years. Eight week long sessions are given throughout the year. In addition there are summer sessions for school aged youth
and also 4 short week sessions for those wishing to try a sampling of the camp. This past January was my 3rd year attending the camp and I will be returning again next year. My experiences at the camp have been truly unforgettable. More information can be obtained at Sonatina.com

Kathy has worked wonders with my piano lessons. In about a year and half of lessons Kathy has added scales and exercises along with musical selections designed to enhance specific skills, plus has worked with me on select piano works which I find interesting and challenging. My abilities and quality of playing been steadily improving. She is always positive and uplifting yet she still can point out areas of playing quality which require work. She gears lessons and advancement of difficulty to my specific rate of improvement. I couldn't ask for better and and am looking forward to continued progress over time for my improved musicianship.
I have taught ESL to some Romanian people from the time they came to the US. They knew no English and now one of the women has went on to pass her medical test and is a nurse. I enjoy the English language and learning to understand it more.
I enjoy teaching and helping my students achieve their goals. I have taught for several years and like to make it an environment where students like to learn. I have a bachelors in science and graduated in 2006. Violin has been the main course of my teaching. However I have also taught piano and ESL. I love helping others discover and retain new things.
I have been teaching ESL to children and adults for almost 20 years. I can create lessons that fit anyone's needs. I help raise confidence so my students can conquer the world of English!
Hi! I am Samantha, but you can call me Sam! I have had a wide range of experiences teaching students from a variety of countries and have been teaching business English, IELTS/TOEFL/TOEIC preparation as well as basic conversation for some time. I absolutely love teaching and waking up each morning for work. I was born in Los Angeles but now I live in Northern California in the forest, by the ocean with my husband and dog Benjamin.
I have a BA and MA in English Education and am a licensed teacher in California. I have been teaching for 19 years, 10 years in the classroom teaching ESL to young children and 9 years specializing in online English education.
Sam is a great teacher! I find her classes very useful, since I can practice any aspect of English like reading, writing, listening, speaking and even more. I've also had several extremely funny and interesting classes on slang, phrasal verbs and idioms. Sam can also help you to prepare for TOEFL or IELTS exam which is very important if you plan to live or study in an English speaking country. Above all, Sam is very friendly, intelligent, understanding and flexible. If you are a busy person, Sam is always trying to fit your schedule as much as possible. I'd definitely recommend her classes!

hi Samantha, i am your old student from Turkey, maybe you remember, I want to thank you. I'm now in U.S as a Master Degree Student, thank you very much for your help during my preparation to exams (TOEFL and GRE).

We will work together as long as it takes for you to understand and achieve your goals. I will stay with you to help you find the answers that you need.
I absolutely love teaching! I believe that everyone can improve their communication and expression, and I have had the pleasure of helping many students better understand what they read and better express their ideas in communication. I hold a CELTA/TOFEL & Bachelor's and a Master's degrees, and I have years of experience as a classroom teacher. I have tutored many students at the business high school college levels. I enjoy working one-on-one with students so that I can help them with their particular academic needs and tailor my lessons to them. I specialize in pronunciation of the English language, and those who are struggling with comprehending business language. I also teach and help those who are preparing for working with government agencies and universities. I can offer assistance with understanding the development of ideas, proof
reading, and editing. I can help with a specific business / college assignment or course, or I can offer more general lessons to help improve your overall communication skills. I am generally available for tutoring all day (with specific attention given to Asian and Pacific timezone) including the weekends. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you succeed in your studies!
improve your pronunciation and grammar knowledge, boost your grades or conversation skills.
I am a Licensed Court Interpreter, native Romanian, and I love sharing my knowledge with students! Proper pronunciation, correct grammar, and rich vocabulary are essential elements to attaining fluency in a foreign language. Multiplication, division, the order of operations, decimals, fractions, measurements and more, will no longer be a challenge! I have considerable experience working as a linguist for the US Army, as a translator, and substitute teacher as well. Learning will be fun and rewarding!
A very good lesson with focus on pronunciation, grammar, and spelling. Very helpful!

A good and promising beginning lesson.

I'm biased on this tutor because of a previous opportunity to serve our nation together. Anisoara was the most reliable member of Romanian interpreters when military missions required our role in international encounters. She is patient, articulate, intelligent, and very respected in the USA interpreters community. I highly recommend her to teach you the language and culture of the old Dacia (now Romania).

"Bryce has a casual yet effective teaching style that made me feel relaxed and comfortable from the beginning. I already had an advanced level of English,
however I still needed to work on some of the nuances and prepositions in the language. Bryce has helped me immensely. I have started to teach English to others as my level has improved even more. I now feel confident teaching others English as a second language."
