Tom is a super nice guy with a great positive attitude and teaching style to match. He has lots of experience both playing and instructing. Two thumbs up!

Tom was absolutely fantastic. He seemed to be genuinely interested in my progress and just as excited as I was about me picking up the piano again - over 20 years since I’d last had lessons - which was an excellent motivator. I may have gone home and practices for a few hours. I look forward to continuing my lessons with him.

I began playing piano at 18 years old as a music major at Macomb Community College. I think I was the only one who was thrilled to be playing piano. I quickly advanced through the 3 group classes and then private lessons. I love teaching piano to students of all levels and all ages.

I teach all levels of piano. I currently use the Alfred books for the first 3 levels of books and then we move to the Snell piano repertoire books for the following levels. I also have many fun solo books for students.

Heather is a great teacher; she is able to gauge ability and keeps the lessons varied and interesting, always pushing you just at the edge, beyond what you thought you were capable of. Friendly, amiable, and laidback in style, she makes learning in a comfortable atmosphere fun. You can tell she has a real passion for music and teaching, and results after just a few lessons proves she knows what she is doing.

I am a beginning singer, my only prior experience was singing with the congregation in church, not the choir.
Quinn
She's really nice, and makes warm-ups before starting the lesson for your voice range. The variety of songs you can sing is pretty big, you want to sing in Italian? There's plenty! Want to sing in Latin? I'm pretty sure there's a few! There are songs from various musicals, too. All in all, she's a pretty great teacher.

Peter is absolutely wonderful! He’s excellent at detecting where you technique can be improved. He’s also great with repertoire choices and knows both the standard pieces and lesser known arias.

I have had weekly lessons with Peter for just over a year now. Peter has been an incredible guide, mentor and friend. He has helped me to strengthen my foundational technique, make artistic sense of my repertoire, and be a better person. I would highly recommend lessons with Peter!
Jennifer
Having Peter as a voice teacher has completely transformed the way I approach singing and how I value myself as an artist. His technique gives me the tools to perform efficiently even when I’m not feeling my best. My weekly virtual lessons are JUST as impactful as an in-person session. He explains how I’m supposed to FEEL instead of how I’m supposed to sound. Those visual exercises truly help me know how to place my sound. Peter is also incredibly patient and his vast experience is an asset. He’s a great teacher for novice students or for those already in the industry. I can’t recommend Peter enough!!

Hello, I am Evan W.! Growing up in a musical family, music surrounded me. I remember going around trying to figure out what ever I could get my hands on. As someone who grew up surrounded by music, having a chance to take music there was like taking a factory tour of a product that you liked. I finally got to figure out why I liked what I liked, and how to make new combinations of these elements to create music of my own (composition). This is probably why I am passionate about Music Theory. I hope you will learn to enjoy theory as much as I do. I have scored very high score in Music Theory and have passed the College Board Music Theory Examination with one of the highest scores ( 5|4). I am looking forward to having a lesson with you!

Hello! I'm AnnAnn and I'm excited to hear you play!

I teach students of different levels, and I adapt to the needs of each student. Students will be asked to study tone and technical exercises in addition to their repertoire to help them progress in both fundamental and musical aspects of their playing.

If the student is studying flute in school, they can bring that material for additional help, or we can work on other repertoire to create further challenges outside of the classroom.

If you would like to study with me on a day or time that is not listed, please feel free to message me and we can find a time that works best! I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your musical goals!

AnnAnn is very organized and detailed. 6 Things to Remember for Singing the Blues

Love to sing the blues? There a few things to keep in mind as you sing in this genre -- find out in this guest post by St. Augustine, FL teacher Heather L...   The history of blues music is rich and bittersweet.
