Experienced Harp teacher of 30 years available for eager students aged 10 through adult! I teach using the Suzuki Harp Method and other methods as needed. I structure the lessons around each student so that they are taught at their level and speed while encouraging and challenging them to excel further.

I believe lessons should be fun and expansive journeys. I enjoy truly connecting with each student in a light, enjoyable atmosphere.

Lessons are tailored to meet each student where they are at, while still pushing them at a rate that inspires them. Positive reinforcement and constructive feedback are always used, while negative criticism is not.

I specialize in teaching proper harp technique designed to allow the player to play for a lifetime! If pain arises from playing students will never be asked to push through pain or discomfort. Rather, we will find a different approach that works.

Lastly, I love working with students on pieces they really love. No piece of music is off limits! We can make any song work on the harp!

I have been teaching harp for over 10 years. I teach with a strong emphasis in technique, employing mostly Salzedo styles with a few French styles in hand and arm position.

I have a series of books from which I teach for all ages, all abilities. At any point I encourage the student to learn songs they like, creating an enriched atmosphere of learning.

I teach music theory, exercises, and sight-reading alongside our weekly studies of pieces and songs. I will help you find the right materials so you can enjoy your lessons!

It is my goal to have students perform pieces with comfort, strength and for memory.

My teaching philosophy is to cultivate a love for music while learning the best way to approach the instrument and learning how to play well. Like any good goal, hard work and patience are needed, but ultimately love and the pursuit of making music.

Tori spreads the joy of playing the pedal harp and lever harp by teaching private lessons to children and adults of all skill levels (no previous musical training required!). She teaches at her students' homes or online. Tori's teaching style is holistic: she focuses not just on reading music, harp technique, and basic music theory but also music history, developing effective practice habits, and helping her students' discover how the harp can become a part of their lives and achieve their musical goals and dreams!

I am a harpist at heart since the day I set my eyes on this angelic instrument at the age of 12. Every sound made is immediately comforting and soothing. My experience ranges from teaching children and adults of all backgrounds. I founded Harp4all Music Conservatory and have regular harp ensemble practices and recitals. I teach from several method books including Harp Olympics and Fun From the First. My teachers include Susan McDonald, Elizabeth Richter, Ellie Choate. Susan McDonald has strongly influenced my teaching style and performance.
