I wrote a review before, when I had just started having singing lessons with Erin but it’s been more than three years, so it’s time for an update. ;)
I really enjoy my lessons with Erin and I notice a great difference in my vocal range and technique from when I first started having lessons with her. She’s patient and supportive, and she always has great suggestions for new songs to learn. I’m really building up a repertoire. :)
Erin offers for her students to participate in studio recitals twice a year and I feel like I‘ve also improved my performance skills (stage fright is real for me but I’m slowly becoming more confident singing in front of others).
We had to move the lessons and recitals online during the pandemic and that worked out really well too.

I really recommend lessons with Erin, you will learn a lot and you‘ll have fun doing so!

A great first lesson. Erin is patient and understanding. I look forward to our next session.

"Bill is a thoughtful teacher, an amazing musician, and a really caring guy

I would highly recommend Bill! He is such a great player and teacher! He has helped enormously with my saxophone playing, clarinet playing, and improvising.

Since my saxophone playing is already fairly advanced. In our lessons on saxophone focus heavily on advanced jazz improvisation topics, like standard tunes, and transcription. He is so knowledgeable on these advanced topics but is really great at showing me the basics so that I can learn at my own level and pace.

On clarinet Bill and I work on more classical studies and instrument technique to get my clarinet playing more on track.

Bill is such a patient and motivating teacher. It is clear that he cares deeply about MY SUCCESS in music. He has helped me feel good about my musical progress and inspired me to work harder!

He has even given me lots of great music business advice, and helped me think about what I want out of music in my life.

Bill is so easy to get along with and is really careful to explain things in a way that I can understand them.

Its been really awesome getting to know and work with him!"

"I had the pleasure of studying with Anna throughout my masters program at NYU. She pushed me as a singer/performer each week during my lessons, through attention to detail in pitch, rhythm, memorization, dramatic circumstances, and vocal freedom. I came to her stuck vocally, and she helped me find a “free” sound within my voice. I was able to move more air, transition through registers without large shifts or drops, and I’m so thankful for her guidance. She is able to look at your voice objectively, and see where you are each lesson. Because we as singers are connected physically to our instrument, sometimes my days would get the best of me and affect me emotionally and she would help me use it or help me work through it during lessons. I love my voice and how it has grown. I HIGHLY recommend starting your vocal journey with her."

"I've rehearsed and performed with Vandi Enzor in a chamber setting per the requirements of her graduate voice degree. I accompanied her on guitar as she sang; the specific piece was the Seven Popular Spanish songs by the great Spanish composer Manuel de Falla. Vandi is professional, patient, hard working, receptive, and musical. Her great command of her instrument is evident, and more than that she has genuine joy in what she does. Collaborating with her was a pleasure, and I can't recommend her enough for musical instruction. A true professional."

"Danny came to our house and did lessons for my son in our living room. My son used to take group classes with Danny at a Network for Young Artists, a non-profit but since we moved out of that area, we needed more one on one time. My son has improved in confidence, singing has gotten better. He even sang at a family birthday party for his little sister and even did a speech. I would have never imagined that type of confidence."

"Karen’s recitals, showcasing 6 to 12 students each time, always thrill
me. Men, women, boys, & girls of all ages and various degrees of
achievement stand before their audience with confidence. They have
practiced, not only the pieces which they play, but showmanship, not
pushy or cocky, but polite and welcoming. They make eye contact and
smile; some invite the crowd to sing along on the choruses. Even the
1st year students exude confidence.

The crowd returns those smiles, along with cheers and clapping. One
can tell that Karen has kindly and persistently shown and encouraged
each student. If any show fear, she does not chide; she accompanies
them in the performance and nods approval as they continue. I watch
that fear subside. They are then met with handshakes and pats on the
back. Next time, they will be even more eager to share the pieces that
they worked on and not expect criticism.

Karen picks a theme and arranges guitar, piano, and voice selections,
intermingled into a program that leaves a person well entertained and
planning to come back next time. I am not related to any of the
participants and have no obligation to be at the recitals. I love the
music, the talent, and the progress that I see and hear. You, too,
will be glad you came."
