I work with my students to help them develop their own expressive musical voices. We will use technical exercises, etudes, solo pieces, and other repertoire to give students the knowledge and tools to approach any challenge!

I have 15 years of experience teaching all levels of clarinet students, including everyone from absolute beginners to advanced collegiate players. My junior high and high school students regularly place highly in state Solo & Ensemble and All-State festivals, and have been accepted into top university music programs. My college students have won national competitions, been accepted into summer music festivals, and have been placed in major graduate programs with full scholarship.

I look forward to getting to know each student individually so that we can work together to make them into the best clarinetists, musicians, and artists they can be!

Hello!

I am a private music instructor specializing in woodwind instruments looking to take on clarinet, flute and saxophone students!

My lessons consist of a well balanced coverage of exercises (scales, note patterns, etudes, duets, major repertoire, etc) geared towards building a solid foundation in playing technique. This allows each student to be accurate and expressive with a sense of ease in their playing! Students of the studio are also thrown into the world of music! They are strongly encouraged to attend concerts, listen to music regularly, and attend masterclasses. The goal is not just to learn an instrument, but to also develop a life-long love and appreciation for music!

I am very proud to say that my students soar through their band and orchestra programs in school and obtain a sound quality/sense of musicality way beyond their grade level! The majority of my students excel past their school music programs! They join youth/honor bands and orchestras, chamber ...

About Carter

I believe that everyone has the ability to enjoy and be expressive on an instrument. It is poor instruction and a lack of passion in music education that allows students to become frustrated and bored, ultimately pushing them to quit their instruments. My goal as a music educator is not only to

I've played alone and in ensembles for over 25 years. My lessons will start at your level. What do you want to accomplish? What music do you want to play? You'll learn the basics- bow control, intonation, vibrato, shifting positions. What you play with those skills is up to you- that's what makes music enjoyable!
*Note: at this time I am only taking on intermediate students, as I can only teach lessons online at this time due to the pandemic. I would consider anyone who has been playing for at least 1 year to be intermediate level.

I am a 12 year old piano student and have been taking piano lessons with Minoo for 5 months. In that short time, I have progressed much faster than I could have imagined. I have learned so much about the piano and how to read music. Minoo always makes sure I understands every part of my lessons. When I struggle with notes, Minoo patiently gets me through until I succeed. She is one of my favorite teachers, music-wise and school-wise. Minoo is a caring, calm and happy teacher. I’m glad we found her to teach me piano. Thank you Minoo!

The Importance of Vowels

If you've been taking singing lessons for a while, you've probably practiced several silly warm-up exercises. You know, the ones where you're making funny faces and sounds, saying nonsensical phrases, and so on.
