I started playing the flute at a young age and I have since developed a passion for music. The flute is such a unique instrument, yet it looks so simple. I believe that the best way to learn is by making it something you enjoy. This entails having fun and understanding that the path to success comes with both highs and lows.
I have been playing the flute for 10 years and have learned so many new things about music and from the relationships I've made with people. I have experience working with young children in preschools and in elementary schools. Learning the flute has helped me learn to play other instruments like t

I spend a lot of time gearing my lessons to each specific student. Obviously we will learn songs that you are interested in. But in addition to that I write out specific exercises to help my students learn while also making it something that is fun and interesting to play so that we are not tied solely to learning from a book when it is not necessary. I can also help with songwriting, improvisation and other creative pursuits. The genres I am well versed in are pop, rock, classical, jazz, blues, funk, etc.
I've been playing guitar for 14 years. I have always had a passion for learning as well as performing music and I continue both of those practices to this day. I am a strong believer in gearing each lesson plan to a students individual interest and will write out individual exercises and arrangemen

Ruth is a great teacher. She is very patient , understanding and accomodating teacher. We are very happy to have her as a piano teacher for my 8 yr old."
I've sang for bands, choirs, and musicals, but each time, I felt like I was imitating somebody else in order to sound good. gfire's the first to help me feel comfortable with my own pipes AND teach me how singing actually works (FAR easier than I'd thought). Lessons are simple and practical, and gfire's got catchy ways to remember the fundamentals, from breathing to finding notes' "happy places." She's going to be a big star someday, and I'll be proud to say I took lessons from her. For now, I'm proud to say she taught me how to enjoy my voice."
I'm sure any child would benefit from her teaching skills
