I use a variety of materials to best fit what the student needs and would like to get out of taking lessons. I enjoy teaching and playing music and I try to make sure my students have fun as well!
Hello! My name is Phillip M. and I have been playing the Horn for 18 years now. I started back in elementary school and haven't looked back since. After high school, I went to Central Michigan University where I earned my Bachelor of Music in Horn Performance while studying under Dr. Bruce Bonnell.
So grateful Phillip - she is anxious to spend the summer learning from you - we appreciate your approach and as he said ability to "put her at ease" so she can feel comfortable to learn. Awesome first lesson.

Associates Degree - General Business from MaComb Community College
I have been playing most of my life. I started playing professionally at 17, playing with a number of professional bands playing all over Michigan. I have been teaching drum students since the age of 19, teaching well over 500 students to date.
Teaching students has been one of my passions with music. I hope to motivate my students to learn to play and love the drums as much as I do.
I work with each student on an individual basis to help them learn and understand drumming technique using books and techniques that will help to develop instinctive skills and ear technique.
I work with snare drum / rudimental technique with all my students and drum set technique, as most students want to learn how to play a drum set. Many of my students are in school band learning snare drum and percussion technique. Basic snare drum technique is important for any student to master and understand to learn to apply to snare drum and drum set technique.

I teach from a variety of guitar methods and also help students learn and work out current and classic popular songs that I have written out for them or songs that the student may also suggest. I find that this approach inspires and motivates students while learning the

I have also played professionally in many local nightclub and wedding bands as well as having toured with "Bob Seger" as his lead guitarist/writer/vocalist. Loquacious, but each moment of verbal conversation has a message that leads to the musical lessons of the day. I really appreciate her knowledge and skill. I am often reminiscent of my violin instructor as a child. Each session leaves me with the zeal to practice hard in eager preparation
for the next.
I have found that the attending student group to be extremely supportive to all other students especially to those experiencing performance anxiety. Repeating attendees (from all over the country) have formed lasting friendships among themselves which have endured for years. Eight week long sessions are given throughout the year. In addition there are summer sessions for school aged youth
and also 4 short week sessions for those wishing to try a sampling of the camp. This past January was my 3rd year attending the camp and I will be returning again next year. My experiences at the camp have been truly unforgettable. More information can be obtained at Sonatina.com

When you're taking Japanese lessons, you will be introduced to the three different writing systems: hiragana, katakana, and kanji. Although kanji is generally considered the most difficult to learn, because of the symbols, it's the most popular writing system among non-Japanese speakers. Kanji consists of thousands of characters which were derived from the Chinese writing system. Because of the way they look, and the fact that they can convey a meaningful message in a limited amount of ch …

French is a language that has reached over 25 countries and touched many cultures over the centuries. It was the lingua franca before English overtook it, and still remains a formidable language in the international community. French settlers established communities there in the 16th and 17th centuries, and the language i …
