A holistic and relevant approach to teaching piano and music skills to anyone.

Holistic Approach

The phrase “Holistic Approach” simply means that I teach the student, not the lesson. Every student has a different learning style, goal, strengths and weaknesses. It means I will teach all the elements of music in context of the big picture, not just learn the written language of music. It means I will think outside the box and customize the learning journey to help each student reach their own potential.

My goal is to facilitate students’ own exploration of the piano and its language so that they can learn to play anything independently. It’s a matter of “learning how to learn,” and making connections between all of the knowledge they gain. That comes through a functional, relevant introduction to music, as opposed to going through the motions of a method book alone, to memorize numerous isolated facts and repeat them indefinitely.

I am still not a perfect player and ...

My time with Rich was really strong. I took lessons from Rich for a short while when living in Connecticut. The time I spent with him was VERY helpful to me as a novice guitar player. Rich has an unbelievable knowledge of the instrument and is quite an accomplished player. He is a really strong instructor and genuinely wants his students to get better.

In short, Rich is a very talented instructor/player and I would definitely take lessons from him again.

One of my favorite things about people is how we all learn differently. I aim to cater my teaching to each student to best prepare them as musicians, performers, or just music lovers! I adhere to the "canon" of cello playing, but spice it up to appeal to each student and keep you in love with your instrument.

About Kate

A little about me personally: I am a native Wisconsinite, an avid cellist, and lifetime music lover. I have been teaching cello lessons privately off and on for the last 9 years and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire. In my school years, I participated

Kate is a fantastic cello teacher - you can tell that she has extensive teaching experience. She is patient and supportive and really helps with the fundamentals of learning cello in a relaxed environment. I've been taking music lessons since I was a little kid (now I'm a mom of two boys who are learning to play piano -- I'm a beginning cello learner) and I can say w/o reservation that Kate is a great teacher and I'm going to learn a lot!!
Katie has been the best online teacher! I started out very new, and having played only the clarinet years ago. Katie is very patient, and she keeps learning interesting and fun. She is also very flexible, I have a busy schedule and she is always super understanding! I look forward to our lessons every time!

"Just landed my first singing gig! Thank you Gabriel!"
Took Singing lessons from Gabriel B.
"Since I have been training with Jachee I have developed better access to my vocal powers and my vocal range has expanded. Jachee is extremely professional in her vocal training. She can teach a variety of vocal styles and have you develope ear training in order to distinguish the appropriate notes to sing and remain on the correct notes from the beginning to the end of the song selection. I must say with her expert advise she has guided me in area's I knew was a challenge for me, yet she help me over come the fears I was experiencing without even mentioning it to her. I was soo soo pleased with her that I recommended 3 other persons and if my son gives me th ok I will bring my grand children as well. Her training has helped and improved my vocal cords not harmed them. We practice our breathing, stretching & warm-ups which are so much fun. I would like to achieve singing effortlessly one day as she does when she is on stage. She is amazing, powerful, talented and very professional. I highly recommend Mrs. Jachee, I really call here Boss J because of the way she takes command vocally when she is on stage. By the way there is not a song this power house of a Lady that she can not sing. Give her any song any style and watch with amazement of what beauty and creativity she brings and applies to whatever selections you place before her!!! You can trust you child with her as well. I sooooo love Boss J !!!!!! If I were to have a compliant it would be that we have soo much fun that time flys so quickly and I do not want to LEAVE. Lol 😄🤗😄😁🤣"

"Brian's experience and passion for drumming become apparent during the first lesson. He is a talented musician and a wonderful teacher, adjusting the pace of each lesson to match your needs and your level of skill. His ability to play numerous styles makes him an ideal teacher for those up and coming drummers who don't want to get locked into playing one particular type of music. I've been playing drums for as long as Brian has, but even with all of my experience he has still helped me branch out and incorporate new techniques into my repertoire. Whether you are a beginner, looking to learn the basics, or an experienced drummer, looking to hone your skills in a particular area, Brian is a great teacher to turn to!"
