First lesson from Paul was perfect. So much to learn and so little time. I am confident with his great listening skills and musical knowledge and my need for so much improvement, this is a perfect match already.

I was so apprehensive, having never taken a lesson and being a real amateur. I was relaxed immediately with Paul. He encouraged me every step of the way. Very productive first lesson and look forward to the next one!!

About Viola
Hi there. my name is Viola Rose. I am 47 years old. I have been playing Handpan for 4 years. I have played hand drums and percussion instruments for 26 years. and am now offering handpan and hand drum lessons for beginning and intermediate players. for online lessons you would need to have your own handpan or drum . but for in person lessons in Portland Oregon, you would not need to have your own handpan or hand drums as you can use mine. I am joyful and super inspired by the Handpan and playing drums.
I also offer vocal training for those wanting to "find their voice" and to learn to sing from their heart center and embody their voice. I have been singing my whole life in solo prjects and in Bands. you can find my CD "veils of Twilight" on itunes, CD Baby and YouTube

About Richard
I started learning how to play the guitar around 15 years old. I have over 35 years experience. I took lessons for three years of reading, writing tab and notations, chord charts, melodies, classical guitar, soloing, taping, techniques, song learning, ear training and transposing. From the songs, I've learned to play the rhythm and solo. Over the years I self taught myself guitar by listening to my favorite artist. I played in local bands for many years and performed in venue's in my home town. When I play in bands, I'm always labeled the lead guitar player of the group. I help everyone out with their parts and timing. I have recording experience in the studio as much as my home studio using Steinburg's Cubase. I took a music theory course and received a certificate.

My time with Rich was really strong. I took lessons from Rich for a short while when living in Connecticut. The time I spent with him was VERY helpful to me as a novice guitar player. Rich has an unbelievable knowledge of the instrument and is quite an accomplished player. He is a really strong instructor and genuinely wants his students to get better.

In short, Rich is a very talented instructor/player and I would definitely take lessons from him again.

I have been a student of Ronn’s for the past two years, and of all the teachers I have had, he is one of my absolute favorites and most recommended! Ronn has helped me grow so much with my confidence in my voice and always pushes me beyond my comfort zone, which I am very thankful for. He is an excellent communicator and very understanding, and always provides a safe place for me to make (vocal) mistakes. Not only does he help me in voice training, but he helps me in telling the story of each song I receive.

Although, I only take vocals with Ronn currently, I have taken a few of his acting/film seminars, and they are very informative and have helped me a lot in learning about film and acting on-camera.

I highly recommend taking from Ronn, whether it be acting or singing! I have grown so much as his student, and he is wonderful to work with!

My 14 year old daughter has taken private voice lessons from Ronn for a couple of years! She loves going and she is disappointed when she has to miss. He has introduced her to many different styles of music and helped her put together a port folio of music for auditions.

Both of my children have been taught by Ronn. What he brings to the table is invaluable. He has taught them acting, on screen acting, and helped in voice. The kids have also had the privelage of being directed by Ronn in various projects. They both showed so much growth and confidence from his teachings. I highly recommend Ronn Burton!

Hi, my name is Ryan and I would love to teach you how to play guitar. I've been playing for over 10 years and have been gigging for a little less than that in my band. Over the years I have gained a lot of experience performing on stage and teaching to people of all ages. If you want to shred, jam, or rock out then look no further. I okay all styles of music and pride myself in building a fun and educational curriculum based solely on you or others who have had similar interests as you. This means if you have a question about guitar or music in general, 9 times out of 10 I can answer it. The remaining tenth is either a well kept secret, or something that is left to be found. So if you're ready to start your journey or just need a guide to help you on your way, let's go!

Ryan was great! He's obviously a talented guitarist and he is very laid back and makes you feel comfortable. He shows you in detail what you need to do to become a better guitar player. My ONLY advice, and the reason he doesn't get 5 stars, is I think he should have more visual aids with his lessons. For example, write down the different scales or transcribe the first several measures of a song. Then, one has something to refer back to when you are practicing and invariably get stuck. Other than that, I would highly recommend Ryan as a guitar teacher!

About Luc
After drumming for almost 40 years, I feel like I've nearly done it all, having played played Rock, small and big group Jazz, Classic R&B/Soul, Fusion, Funk, Folk, Reggae/World Music, Top-40, Heavy Rock, Classic and Contemporary Country, Blues, Electronic, Theater, and Cinematic/Soundtrack music.
I was self-taught at first by listening and playing along with recordings, and then studied under Maine greats Dick Demers and Steve Grover, and attended the University of Maine-Augusta in the Jazz and Contemporary music program. During the past few years, I've also started to play the Chapman Stick, and I've increased the amount of hand percussion in his bag of tricks.
My reputation in the Maine music scene is as a solid, first-rate musician, and throughout all of this, I've appeared on many recordings. I'm now the drummer in the 80’s party/
dance band “The GE3KS” and in the original band “Goss”, with an Adult Contemporary/Alt Rock album currently being written and recorded, as well as hard rock originals with Jerry Perron, with an alum completed and slated for mastering at Abbey Road Studios over the summer and fall of 2017.
I've taught drum set in one-on-one settings since 1992, first at Spectrum Music in Lewiston and Brunswick, Maine, then at The Music Centre in Brunswick, and at The Drum Shop in Portland, as well as in my own home. I've also lectured at summer percussion camps, and authored a drum method book, "Beginning Drum Set Coordination," and published the first edition in 2004, with an updated second edition printed in 2016. In mid-2016, I re-joined the teaching staff at The Drum Shop, and shortly after joined the staff at The Midcoast School of Music, also in Portland.
Since November of 2016, I have been an artist endorser for Rich Sticks. Check them out; they make a fantastic quality product and they're a top-notch crew!

I have been learning music and playing music with Luc for over 30 years. He is a true student of the art and a patient and confident teacher. His depth of understanding and passion for music go far beyond just his substantial drumming, vocal and Chapman Stick talents. He is able to engage in the technical minutiae and the broad philosophical aspects of all styles. Time spent with Luc in the musical space will move you forward!

My 10 year old son Lucian has had Luc as his drum teacher for almost a year now and we are so happy that we found him at the drum shop. My son looks forward every week to seeing Luc and learning something new. Luc is excellent with him and makes the lessons fun. And because of Luc and the weekly lessons our son is much more advanced than the other children his age in his school band. If you want your child to not only learn quickly but also have a lot of fun at the same time then Luc is the teacher for you :)
