I teach real classical method, using John Thompson's Modern Course for piano, as well as the essential Baroque period music that has been traditionally used for classical training over the past 200 years. (Eg. Anna Magdelena's notebook (J.S. Bach), 2 part inventions by J.S. Bach, Beethoven Sonatas and Sonatinas, Chopin Preludes/Noctures/Waltzes.

Joel is an accomplished performer, composer, songwriter, and educator who draws from several pedagogical techniques to create a curriculum that is fun, active, inquiry-based, and student-driven. He is a professionally licensed K-12 music teacher in the state of Colorado with a master's degree in music education who has taught in public schools and privately for 5 years. Work collaboratively to set goals, pick repertoire, and build a strong musical foundation. Come prepared to sing, improvise, analyze, and play.

Hi I'm James! With degrees form the Juilliard School and Yale University, I have 20 years experience teaching all ages and a variety of styles and methods. I tailor my lessons to each student according to their interests and goals and get a lot of fulfillment from helping people develop their skills in and enjoyment of music.

I've been teaching classical piano for 25 years. I began using the John Thompson book. Recently, I discovered my younger students understood Alfred method book better. Therefore, I've been using Alfred for the last past 8 years. I will continue to use John Thompson book for some students.

My lesson plans are customized for each student to address their unique needs and goals. In addition to playing the songs you want to play, you'll gain a strong foundation in music theory, note reading, ear training, and much more. For interested students, I also assist in audition and performance preparation. I want my students to have fun while learning music!

I am a piano teacher and my mission is to teach you to have fun while learning something new. Do you like pop songs, jazz, videogame music or even movie soundtracks? I can teach you all of these and more. I work with all ages, and each lesson plan is designed specifically for you and your musical needs. My goal here is to engage you with your instrument, teach you proper technique, theory and performance skills, but overall my goal is to help you have the best experience possible with a piano.
