Professional musician for 25 years and experienced teacher for 23 years! I have performed in 5 countries as well as all over the Caribbean and have taught in 4 countries and in 3 different languages! I specialize in Drum set for RnB, Funk, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Latin, west African and fusion styles, Marching Percussion, Hand Percussion of North Africa, West Africa, Brazil, Spain, Colombia and Cuba! I can help you with basic, intermediate and advanced techniques from learning to play and reading basic rhythms all the way to being able to make music while playing polyrhythmic ideas with all 4 limbs with ease! My philosophy is to love what you do and do what you love. Music is a discipline so the student gets out of it what they put into it. Let's have fun learning to find your groove!

In lessons we'll train technique and theory right alongside the ear with the objective of being able to play from your authentic self.
In addition I studied with the Jazz legend and esteemed educator Stefon Harris (currently leading the Manhatttan School of Music). We will use his innovative theory and ear training techniques to learn the most basic mechanics of music.

I have been playing drums for 14 years, graduated with a music degree in 2018, have worked with multiple drumlines, and am currently teaching at a franchise rock school.

Playing and Teaching All facets of percussion for over ten years. From Snare Drum, Xylophone, Marimba and beyond. We will develop a curriculum based on your goals and needs. Playing in school band? Auditioning for honor groups or college? Weekly percussion lessons will put you into the front of the pack and prepare for your future.

In our percussion class we will cover music theory, counting rhythms and discover a variety of percussion. The majority of this lesson will revolve around the Cajon, Shaker, Tamborine, and using brushes and snare technique and will explore african drums as well!

I believe in a wholistic approach to learning percussion, allowing you to become proficient in rudimental snare drumming, mallet percussion, music theory, and miscellaneous percussion at your own pace. Each of these very distinct skills are intertwined with one another and should be taught as such.

I have over a decade of percussion playing under my belt including professional performances for musicals, fundraiser events, and various clubs, restaurants, and other venues.
