I have been teaching publicly and privately for over 10 years. I teach music using songs the student(s) listen to. Fundamentals are introduced using the music that you love. I studied Music Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) as well as classical guitar (IUP) and jazz guitar (IUP, Duquesne Faculty).

My name's Alex Ivanov, I'm a 24 year old guitarist and alumni of Berklee College of Music. I've been a guitar instructor for 6 years, who's taught students in Boston and Orlando. I'm proficient with styles, ranging from Rock, Blues, Classical, Pop, Metal, Jazz, Rockabilly, Country, Latin and Reggae.

I teach Beginner level students to Advanced, and everything in between.
For Beginners, I maintain a fun and manageable curriculum of easy and quick to learn songs!
For more experienced players, I implement music theory into learning songs. The goal is to not only learn music note for note, but to understand the function of these notes and how they relate to chords and scales!

I've been studying guitar for 20 years and have been teaching it since 2001. I have a vast knowledge of the techniques and repertoire necessary to succeed as a classical guitarist.

20 years experience in private teaching, 15 years as Head of Juilliard Pre-Colkege Guitar Program. I use my own method and love teaching all level and ages of enthusiastic students. I specialize in Classical, Tango , Spanish and Sounth/Latin American Music.

Classical guitar lessons are available for all ages, styles and skill levels. Beginners are encouraged to apply. Students will have fun while reaching their musical goals. Students are taught to be musicians and artists through the study of the classical guitar. In addition to correct form and technical studies, students will learn time honored works of guitar greats of many epochs. Applied music theory is also demonstrated. Also, I will work with the student
to create a REALISTIC practice schedule to fit their time schedule.
