Coming from 15+ years' experience learning, interpreting, & performing music; 7+ years recording, & 6+ years teaching, you can expect from me an enjoyable, streamlined lesson to help strengthen your musical understanding & ability to further utilize your love for music. I specialize in classical, jazz fundamentals, rock/pop, recording, composition, & live performance. Attacking the students aspirations and goals of their personal requests to the trainer, and getting to know the client and where they would like to see themselves in a limited time of training so the clients money and time isn't left in the mud! We will play and organize our curriculum through music and melody, with a counted rhythm to the beat we are attacking. Listening to our favorite songs is a good way to learn how to play an instrument, it gives a familiar count and sound that we can connect to! Music is simple but fun so our sessions will always revolve around repetitive lessons ,BPM , counting, rhythm, and listening to many many songs and playing them!

I teach private lessons on Classical Percussion, focusing mainly on snare drum, marimba and xylophone.

I am a freelance percussionist who has played with professional orchestras in the US, UK and Asia.
I graduated from the Boston Conservatory, New England Conservatory and Boston University with percussion performance degrees.

As a kid I remembered the feeling after my first drum lesson and couldn't wait to go back to my next one. My goal is to make YOU a better player and have you continue to strive for success! I have 5+ years playing in many genres from singers-songwriter to various latin ensembles to eclectic rock bands on Cajon, Djembe, Conga, Bongo, and Frame Drum. Studied split-hand technique with world famous percussionist Jamey Haddad on Frame Drum.

Can teach a myriad of styles and techniques, not limited to but including: stick control, independence, phrasing, linear patterns, composition, rock, funk, jazz, and ballads.
