Ukulele is a newer instrument to me, but I have been teaching and performing for over 8 years now. I have played music since age 5 starting with violin and later guitar, which I studied at Berklee College of Music. Uke became a recent passion as I formed an acoustic duo of cello and ukulele (and singing) called DvOd that has performed all over the NW and released a CD. I provide a core curriculum of basic technique and music knowledge, combined with customizing to the student's interest. From Traditional Hawaiian to Eddie Vedder to Jake Shimabukuro, I can help you learn your favorites.

About Eric

Music lessons for all ages and levels on guitar, bass, violin, cello, ukulele, banjo and voice/singing. Private studio in downtown Redmond or online lessons. I have been teaching for over 15 years, performing and recording as a singer/songwriter/guitarist for over 30 years. Berklee College of Music

Love to teach beginners and intermediate students.
I teach all uke students how to read, theory, songs and how to understand playing the instrument solo or in a group setting.
Uke is capable of doing anything, all one has to do is apply oneself and music can come flowing out of the instrument.

"Jason is very friendly and personable. He started with the basics on chords on the ukulele and he was patient with me. I learned different ways to hold a chord, strumming, chord progressions, and beginning picking. I enjoyed learning so much in the short amount of time that the lesson went by quickly. I am going to sign up my son to go with me and have back to back lessons. Mahalo Jason!"

"I was apprehensive in the beginning for my first in person ukulele lesson. I didn’t want to feel stupid or be a slow learner. But Chris Immediately made me feel comfortable and by the end of the lesson I felt I had made a friend. He is so knowledgeable and walked me through at my pace. After watching endless hours of YouTube ukulele videos, I finally understood the concepts with Chris’s help. Can’t wait till my next lesson with him."
