So I signed up for lessons with Steve. I took piano lessons from Steve for about 18 months. I moved about an hour away, so it was not practical to continue with him.
The lessons from Steve were exactly what I was looking for. He figured out my skill level and set up a plan for me. He stressed the fundamentals while teaching a song at the same time. Being able to play a song, even a simple one, was a great reward. Then we progressed to develop more skills and more interesting songs.
Steve is patient, attentive and a good coach. He genuinely loves teaching and finds that “spark” in to build on. I saw this many times as I would listen to him teaching the student before me.
Steve is a great teacher and I strongly recommend him.

I believe in a wholistic approach to learning percussion, allowing you to become proficient in rudimental snare drumming, mallet percussion, music theory, and miscellaneous percussion at your own pace. Each of these very distinct skills are intertwined with one another and should be taught as such.
I have over a decade of percussion playing under my belt including professional performances for musicals, fundraiser events, and various clubs, restaurants, and other venues. I would love to help you pursue and accomplish your musical goals. If you have any questions about what I can offer, don't hesitate to ask!
About Emmett
I am a professional percussionist, composer, and music producer, but I also dabble in piano, trumpet, and saxophone. I absolutely love music theory and have composed for podcasts, plays, percussion, brass, and electronic ensembles. I also write and produce my own music under the alias Divine Condu

Sean really knows percussion. I've witnessed this both during lessons and when my family watched him perform with the Lone Tree Symphony. Sean is wonderful with kids. Although my son has attention issues, Sean is extremely patient, and he is able to efficiently redirect and focus my son. With Sean, music lessons are enjoyable. He has taken the time to get to know my son and how my son learns. I feel like the lessons are tailored extremely well for my child's abilities. Best of all, Sean is just a wonderful person. He's easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor. My son looks forward to his lessons with Sean each week. You won't find a better percussion instructor!"
