I've taken guitar lessons from a few teachers and Dan is the best fit I've ever had. He is very patient and does a fantastic job of tailoring lessons to individual needs. He clearly loves to play music and is very thoughtful about how he shares this knowledge in his lessons. He never fails to encourage me as a guitar player and reinforces a 'can do' attitude. His positive and calm demeanor also make for a fantastic instructor. Thank you, Dan.

I've been teaching piano for over 13 years. I use Alfred's Premier Piano Courses levels 1 - 6 for children. For adults I use Alfred's Lesson Book 1 - 3. My teaching goals for all my students are to enable them to read and make music so that they could experience the joy of journeying in the realm of musical sounds.
My philosophy in teaching piano is very much like learning to drive a car. Once a person learns the mechanism of driving so many possibilities open for the person to enjoy trips to many places that bring pleasures that destiny could offer. In some ways, playing the piano is very much like learning to drive a car. Once the mechanism of making music is mastered, the possibilities of making journeys of musical sound is endless.

Heather is patient and kind. She brings both technical and people skills to our practice sessions. If one of my family members or close friends asked me recommend a piano teacher, with no hesitation, I would enthusiastically reccomend Heather.

Heather was wonderful in getting me back into the piano! As an older student I was apprehensive at first, but she was very positive and made me very comfortable. She was very helpful and brought me a long way in a short period of time.

Learning to play your instrument at the highest level will make it easier for anyone to play any kind of music they may like. Don't waste time learning to play tunes on sax, but spend time learning to play sax on any tunes. Seems like a smarter way to go to me. I'm all about learning to play as fast and efficiently as possible. However practice and playing time is a must.

Takes the same amount of time to learn to play sax now as it did 175 years ago!

About Kevin

35 yrs of teaching sax and clarinet students Many of my students have participated in Honor Band and All State Band events year after year. I am very comfortable with total beginners, advancing players, and aspiring pros. I currently have students from 9 to 80+ I tailor student lessons to the need

I grew up playing the violin, and have joined several orchestras and performed countless recitals since. I love that teaching enables me to pass on my love for music to others. Send me a message to see if we're a good match!

I had a fabulous studying experience with Mark. He knew everything about clarinet and explained everything in a clear and understandable way. What impressed me the most is his exquisite approach to the music in different genres and epochs. He will help you to develop your skills and improve your understanding of the music.

Excellent teacher and the lessons are a lot of fun.

Excellent teacher and person. I was his student throughout my university career, a very clear pedagogy with which he takes you to get your maximum abilities to play the clarinet. he knows perfectly the orchestral repertoire and how to interpret the great solos of clarinet, great connoisseur of the solistico repertoire and it takes you to its correct execution according to the time and the style of the works. very focused on their students with the main aspects of execution, sound, articulation and interpretation. 100% recommended.

"Super Dave

Dave instructs my daughter and son in guitar. They're both convinced they are Dave's favorite student. I believe that in itself explains why he is incredibly effective with children. He has them feeling great about music and their progress. Certainly he is an excellent technical instructor. Yes he teaches proper hand position, good tone and so on and so forth. But his ability to connect with children makes him a one of a kind instructor."

"I first met Kimberly as a player-jammer at a local club and soon after began working casual gigs and covering her club engagements when she was out of town. When I realized what great jazz fusion guitarist skills she possessed, I began studying jazz concepts, theory and classic jazz standards with her. This is what I would tell my friends who were interested in studying jazz theory to improve their playing skills and move on to the next level: Kim is a well educated teaching professional who can answer any question you have regarding jazz and music theory. She can break it down and explain it to you and demonstrate it also. It is a rare quality to be able to do this well, articulate it clearly and help any willing student to improve their playing ability."

"I lovvvvve Tanisha. She has this upbeat and vibrant personality; she's super sweet and nice. When it comes to singing, she has you pick out your own song that you would like to sing. She doesn't bombard you with songs and training that won't enhance your voice. I've already noticed changes to my voice and I'm only on my 6th lesson. Plus, she's not a teacher that watches the clock, so if she feels you need an extra 10 mins for vocal training, then you will exceed your time limit with no problem. She's there to help you and if I had to recommend a vocal coach, then of course it would be Tanisha Hall :)"

5 Hard Songs to Sing - and the Exercises to Master Them

Ask any experienced vocalist for a list of what they consider to be hard songs to sing, and they can probably provide you with five or six examples without much thought.  However, there are as many examples as there are different voices, and every individual singer will have individual vocal hurdles to overcome with their repertoire. On the other hand, it is possible to identify a few examples across a few genres where a majority will agree that, yes, those are hard songs to sing. Here are fiv …
