I teach English to the Russian-speakers. I hold a degree in teaching English, and will help you to improve your grammar, listening and speaking skills and enlarge your vocabulary.

About Anna
Do you need the magic pill that will help you speak the language? The recipe is here. If you do the assignments I give you (no need to search for any extra materials), I can assure you that soon you will be able to speak and understand.

I am a highly qualified NYC-based Russian and English language teacher with a degree in linguistics/teaching and more than five years of experience. During the years of my teaching practice, I have developed several teaching methods, which I use in my classes. Together we will establish clear objectives for our lessons and will work on your grammar proficiency, listening and speaking skills, and accent neutrality.

I am a strict teacher :) Seriously. You have a goal and I am here to help you get there, whether it is to be able to negotiate with your business partners, speak to your family members or
read "War and Peace" in original. I will work hard to help you reach it, but I expect you to fulfill your part of a deal.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them here using the "Ask a question" button. If you have already decided that you need to speak Russian or English, do not postpone it for another day, month or year. Click the green button and let's do it.
I am looking forward to starting our language journey!

P.S. You can see me in action on my YouTube channel "Anna Cher: Russian from the Heart": https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3r_jGuhcb7D48Vh0pakNcA

*****
Some technical aspects:

- All materials are provided and included into the price of a lesson

- Recommended frequency of lessons: minimum of 2 times per week (duration of each lesson – 1-1.5h). Learning a language is like going to the gym: to get the muscles, you have to practice regularly.

- If you would like to have a class at a specific time and it is not available in my calendar, please send me a message. I may be able to change some things around and accommodate your request.

- I try to be flexible and modify my schedule based on your needs. But please be considerate and let me know 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule or cancel a class.

Thank you!

Especially for French and Italian speakers.

About Tony
Hi. After a successful career as a composer and music editor for film and TV in LA and NYC, I settled down in Phoenix. I'm looking for students who are interested in learning music in-depth, including theory, acoustics, improv, and composition. After graduation from Berklee College of Music in 1987 with a degree in Music Production and Engineering, I helped to start the music school at Sam Ash Music in New York. From there I moved to LA and worked as a teacher, composer, and engineer. You can read some of my credits and hear music I wrote on my website, TonyDiMito.com. My principal instrument is guitar, but I'm fluent on bass, mandolin, banjo, and other string instruments.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you!

I'm a creative and experienced teacher who can help improve your English writing, speaking, and reading skills. I can teach you the English you need for travel, work, school, or fun. Whether you are a native speaker or a second language learner, I can help you solve the mysteries of correct grammar and usage.

About Marion
Hi, I'm Marion. I bring a lifetime of experience helping people of all ages improve their writing, and English skills. My experience with second language learners is extensive. Whatever your skill set, age, abilities, or background, I can help make you a better writer.

I've worked with middle, high school and college students on developing the reading, writing and research skills needed for success in many academic areas. I've worked with second language learners on speaking, reading, and writing.

Preparing for essay tests is one of my areas of expertise, but my teaching philosophy is less about preparing for a particular test than it is about developing strategies that work for a broad number of tests and in real life situations.

I love working with adults and younger people on developing storytelling techniques, and public spe
aking skills for presentations and interviews, as well as for personal events. These are great confidence builders with real world results!

Whatever type of writing you need to work on, it would be my honor and privilege to work with you.
