I have been taking Liam's Tai Chi/ Qi Gong class for nearly two years now. He is a dynamic teacher that is sensitive to different types of learning paces and styles (both eastern and western) and employs both in his classes. His explanations are simple and he always relates the movement back to its origin as a martial arts defense/offensive move which helps one establish the intention behind the movement. I have learned yang short form and chen style short form from him. I would highly recommend that you take his class if you are interested in beginning or continuing a tai chi practice. Through my practice I have found a healthy way to manage stress and anxiety.

I'm new to pilates so I can easily get confused. Not with Lindsay! She is so specific with the movements, I know exactly what to do next! Not only that, but how she articulates which muscles to work and how to make the most out every single exercise. Guaranteed to burn out your muscles, but then with her stretches, you leave feeling great. How a teacher speaks has always been a deal breaker for me. Lindsay's voice and her demeanor is so pleasant, encouraging, and fun! Also, her body is GOALS! I will follow her to whatever studio she goes to! Thanks Lindsay!

My daughter wanted me to find her a flexibility coach to help her with dance. Because we live in a rural community, this type of instruction is not available. I did an online search and was very fortunate to connect with Take Lessons and Lindsey. She takes a 30 minute lesson twice a week and has seen considerable improvement in her flexibility. Lindsey is not only a great teacher but a great person. Her and my daughter have developed a personal relationship. Lindsey is very knowledgeable, encouraging, and kind. She has been taking Lessons from Lindsey for 11 months, and we plan to continue with classes because of the excellent instruction she has received.

This was my first online lesson with Lindsay. I am a 64 year old woman who wants to learn ballet and in doing so become more flexible, agile and have better balance. Lindsay was very knowledgable, patient, and friendly. I felt that I was receiving real instruction and that we will make a good team together. I got my first students in high school when I helped teachers and gave classes to the kids from primary and since that time I've been teaching different people different things.
I graduated as economics specialist & teacher of economic theory
and it gives me a great knowledge of how to build classes what method to choose etc but I prefer to teach more practical and useful things.
I enjoy sharing things I know to help others live better simpler life. It's so exciting to see how my student starts practicing things she learnt and how it influences her life. Lindsay is very knowledgeable about yoga and she cared about me getting what I wanted from the lesson. I have done yoga before in classes and videos, but that did not allow for real time feedback specifically for me. The online "live" class format with Lindsay had the privacy and convenience of my home and Lindsay taught for my level and condition (an old shoulder injury) and focused on making sure my form good with each position (it was all about me! lol). She gave great, clear feedback with attention to detail with every move. I definitely will take more yoga lessons from Lindsay.

For yoga, I teach a wide-range of yoga styles, with an emphasis on healing, somatic techniques, and Integral yoga principles. I have been practicing yoga for several years and teaching since 2017. Most of my classes consist of Gentle Flow practices to focus on finding space and stillness, providing the body an opportunity to unwind, heal, and restore. However, I am trained to teach Vinyasa Flow, Integral Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Iyengar Yoga. Currently I teach for Free Yoga on the Beach in Long Beach, CA.

My mission is to inspire students to find the stillness and breath in life, starting on the mat. Through a balance of flow and somatic technique, my classes will take you deeper in your practice. As a dancer and athlete, I understand the demands the body goes through daily, and firmly believe that yoga should reflect the opposite of your lifestyle. Implementing tactile adjustments and healing intentions, my classes will help you unwind, restore, and open up. I believe that through the steady practice of yoga, we can restore ourselves and bring zen to our lives in an already hectic world.

I have experience writing for the performance arts—specifically dance—entertainment stories, and media design. During my education, I was published in CSULB's Daily 49er university newspaper several times for the CSULB Department of Dance concerts. I actively write for the dance blog Spot LA run by Monica Reid where I report on the thriving LA dance scene.
