For more than 20 years as an actor and teacher, I've enjoyed Improv Acting, a free thinking art form. Students learn to use their imagination, become many different characters, and truly 'think outside the box.' Improv is loads of fun! "The actor's playground!"

About Tiffini
I offer a fun, interactive teaching style that encompasses more than 20 years of performing and 15 years of teaching experience. As a performer I have worked as a professional singer, actor, musician, and dancer. I have always had a passion for teaching, directing, and composing. While my love for performing has lessened over the years, I have found my true calling: teaching, directing, and helping others to find their passion for music and the performing arts.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a special emphasis in music, theatre, dance, and psychology. I am a graduate candidate working on completing my thesis as my final requirement for a Masters of Arts degree in Music at San Diego State University.
Member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), California Association of Profession
al Music Teachers (CAPMT), and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).

I have extensive training in improvisational acting from East Carolina University in North Carolina and I've been teaching acting students since 2007. Students learn quick thinking, free movement, and artistic expression through acting exercises and games.

About Heather M.
More important than my conservatory education and my experience as an educator and a performer is my passion for teaching music and acting and my undying belief that anyone can learn to be a musician and an actor. I'm currently available to teach lessons in my own St. Augustine home studio, in the World Golf Village area, and online around the globe.

I'm a cum laude graduate of Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey and a winner of its merit scholarship.
After performing with the New York and Royal Philharmonics, the New Jersey and Virginia Symphonies, the American Boy Choir and the internationally renowned opera star, Andrea Bocelli, studying opera and piano at Westminster Choir College and performance art and improvisational acting at East Carolina University in North Carolina, and appearing in shows and pageants across
the east coast, I found my life's work in 2003 when I began teaching music.

I've successfully taught hundreds of different students since 2003, from 5-year-olds with special needs to middle-aged professional opera singers, from a professor in Saudi Arabia to a 65-year-old doctor of music, from kids of Radio Disney to students of the famed Actors Studio in New York, from busy stay-at-home parents to retirees with bucket lists, from CEOs to touring singer-songwriters.

I've created and led a workshop about singing called, "The Whole Body Singer". I've written dozens of articles about music and music education for the blog at TakeLessons.com.

My extensive knowledge of the voice has encouraged and empowered hundreds of singers and prepared many of them to win competitions, pageants and auditions, as well as roles in operas and musicals.

Having both taught myself piano and received formal training at a conservatory has prepared me to teach almost anyone how to play.
The intensive training and education that I received at Westminster Choir College in songwriting, music theory and sight reading has benefited my students at every level.

My current work as singer and keyboardist in the acoustic rock duo, Timberwood, has strengthened my knowledge of a broad range of styles and genres. I have a strong commitment to continuing my education. That's why I recently (2014) studied songwriting online with the Berklee College of Music in Boston.

In the lessons that I teach, I'm flexible, positive and encouraging. While I want my students to have fun and love music, not dread it, I expect hard work and persistence. I am caring, patient, nurturing, and compassionate. In piano lessons, I usually allow the student to choose a piece with which to warm up and then move on to technique and repertoire. In voice lessons, I usually warm up the singer and discuss technique and sight singing before focusing on song choices. Joan Frey Boytim wrote a book for voice that I like to use, and I like the Estelle Liebling exercises for the more advanced singer. Hanon exercises are a big part of my piano curriculum, and I enjoy the Bastien and Alfred books for young and old. I have used completely random songs pulled out of a piano bench and a karaoke CD for kids. I will use almost anything I can get my hands on if it means effectively teaching music.
Acting lessons consist of exercises and games that apply learned concepts, and monologue and audition coaching. Parents, siblings and spouses are always welcome to observe lessons quietly.

Dan is a fantastic teacher. If you are looking for singing lessons you'll be hard pressed to find a better teacher.

When we started I thought that some people just can't sing and that I was one of those people. Not only did I not know how to sing, I had no idea how to *learn* to sing. Dan was super patient and I felt like he figured how I needed to learn just as much as what I needed to learn.

Singing is a life long journey, and I still have a long way to go, but the difference in my confidence and ability since working with Dan is like night and day. I recommend Dan highly.

About Detrece
DeTrece "Dee" Lavender is a native of Miami, Florida. When her family moved to Sarasota, she was afforded the opportunity to study music and the performing arts as a student of the Westcoast School/Henry L. Porter School of Music. It was then that Dee began to understand the power of the creative arts as an effective form of emotional expression and release. By middle school, DeTrece began fine tuning her natural talents by studying classical voice which earned her several starring roles in the Sarasota Youth Opera, The Aslo Theater and the Players Theater. She is also a proud former member of the Westcoast Black Theater Troop in Sarasota, FL. Under the caring leadership of these opportunities, she was able to combine musical and life experiences in order to offer a more well rounded educational and musical experience for her students.

She was awarded a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where she received a dual Bachelor of Music degree in Music Therapy and Vocal Performance (Class of 2003). It was through her service as a music therapist, Millieu (residential) counselor and music teacher in the Boston City Public Schools/Greater Boston Metropolitan Area, that she began to feel the call toward a greater understanding of the gravity and role of the socio-emotional needs of students (and their families/villages) in urban settings. This call brought her to Baltimore, MD where she enrolled in the Pastoral Counseling Masters of Science program at Loyola University. In addition to her studies, she currently teaches Elementary and Middle School choir/ Musicianship teacher in the Baltimore City Public Schools through the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's OrchKids Program. She also serves as Minister Of Music and Arts at two local churches.

Excellent teacher! Sarah is patient, engaged, and organized. Right from the start, she tested my voice to see where we should begin. Nearing the end of the lesson Sarah left me with a bunch of helpful tips and techniques to practice developing my voice.
My second lesson was just as great but due to where I was I was a bit nervous to sing too loud. Sarah quickly adapted to the situation and we worked on vocal exercises and worked on a song we had been working on. Thank you, Sarah, you are the best teacher!^^

Hello, my name is Bernadette Sayre and I am recently graduated from a very rigorous 3 year Master of Fine Arts in Acting program. I specialize in Film Acting, however, if you check out my profile, listed under my "About Me" you will see I have listed children's filmmaking camps I have worked for, along with internship at production companies.

I have extensive knowledge in resume formatting, head shot formatting, demo reel formatting, how to properly audition for both film and theatre, how to properly self-tape from home, tricks for memorization, monologue preparation, character analyzation, etc.

I personally enjoy deriving my technique with a mixture of improvisation and Uta Hagen's theories on acting. I was also trained in Meisner and if a student requests it we can certainly work on some of his exercises as well.

Everything I have learned has been through my masters program, reading and researching for years, self-educating, attending numerous industry events, ...

About Bernadette
Hello! My name is Bernadette! I recently graduated from Regent University with my Master of Fine Arts in Acting with a Concentration in Directing. I received my B.A. in Psychology from George Mason University which I have found has been a very complimentary degree with acting.

In 2012, I taught an acting/filmmaking class at Prude Ranch Summer Camp in Fort Davis, Texas. In 2013, I taught at a very prestigious filmmaking camp at Imagination Stage in Bethesda, Maryland. I taught the children everything from producing, script writing, acting, camera operating, sound mixing, editing with Final Cut Pro X software, and I was their assistant teacher for their Animation camp as well.

I have interned for three production companies; Mirandum Pictures in Front Royal, Virginia, Michael Copon Studios in Norfolk, Virginia and at Parroco Producti
on Group, Inc. in Chesapeake, Virginia. If you are not familiar with Michael Copon Studios, the CEO Michael Copon is best known for his portrayal of the blue power ranger in the early 2000's.

I have extensive amount of training in film acting. Film acting is my sweet spot, however, aside from it I am trained in improv, stand up, theatre, teleprompter work, hosting, commercials, print modeling, sketch comedy, stage combat, etc.

My teaching style is simple, I will treat each student as an individual. No one person is the same, so therefore, I will hone in on what your goals and expectations are. I will help you achieve those goals and we will find an acting method that best suits you. There are so many different ways to approach auditioning, for example. The most important thing, I feel, is to find what works best for you, expound on that and always work towards bringing your authentic self to the table. That is what will ultimately enrichen your acting career the most and your personal life as well. Acting is one of those tools that you can incorporate into just about anything. I love it and I love what I do so, thank you for checking out my page and I hope to hear from you!

A couple years ago my son was cast as the Grinch in a school production. I found her thru Facebook. She gave him 2 lessons and then spent time with him on the phone. Mark is a great kid but he has autism so it can be a challenge. Patricia had experience working with special needs students and I must say she was impressive. Marky took to her right away, she didn't talk down to him, but was a cool friend as well as a teacher. She brought him out of that shell and gave him a lot of attention, was patient and understanding with him. I was proud when he did his thing at school. Highly recommend her especially good with kids. My only issue was scheduling. For the first lesson I was hoping she could come to us and we lived too far then I did have to wait a week or so to book another time but we did get in a couple lessons in time for his show.

About Adam
My name is Adam. I was born in Oklahoma and moved to Sweden at age of 5. It was around that time I started becoming interested in movies as well as putting on performances in front of family and friends. As a teenager I went to an art and performance high school. As soon as I was done with my classes I would head over to an english speaking theatre at nights. At age 19 l moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. I started by attending an acting and film academy that went on for two years. Since graduation I've been working on everything from film, tv, commercial and plays.

Needless to say acting is a big part of my life. I enjoy it more then anything else. That is why I started coaching people. I like to see the actor become the character. I want to help you be the best you can be by sharing my knowledge as well as my passio
