Rhythm guitar, picking patterns and reading notes on the guitar are all taught.

About Kathryn

Kathy believes that variety is the spice of not only life, but also music. Raised singing folk music with a musical family (think accordions, guitars and lots of vocal harmonies), she learned guitar and piano at an early age, but began singing even earlier. Her quest to give the world the best

My experience with Kathy has been great. It's been roughly five months and I learned a lot and I'm also much more confident to sing. Learning the right techniques is crucial. Kathy is extremely patient and she adapts the classes to the student goals and aspirations. English is not my first language and she was also always very respectful and patient in explaining everything twice or maybe three times until I get it.

Kathryn has a terrific demeanor, and provides clear, thoughtful suggestions for technique!

"I've taken private lessons in the past, some were good, some not so good. I've always felt that other instructors followed a very generic blueprint during their private lessons. With Roya, I've never felt that way. The lessons are designed in a way that I felt as if I'm progressing as a artist. Do yourself a favor, and sign up. You will not regret it. :)"
