I work with a variety of people with many different goals. Currently my studio has young beginners, teens and young adults who are entering their professional career stage with new recordings, videos and many performance opportunities. We have upcoming shows at professional venues for our young artists as well as nursing homes and churches for less experienced performers. Shows include all genres and styles: voice, piano guitar and ensembles - and the studio has a lot of collaboration between people - doing back up vocals, co-writing songs, duets trios and more.

About Robert

Creativity, skill and love of music are the key elements that I work to encourage in every student. Over the years my teaching has evolved and I find it gratifying to take people far beyond their own expectations while helping them achieve their goals. I believe everyone is musical and just needs

My Name is Jordan,I love teaching! I teach virtually all genres of music on the guitar be it electric or acoustic.I teach my students based on there needs and goals and take them in the direction they want to go,I can help you to reach an advanced level efficiently and can show you how to minimalize the frustration a lot of students experience when practicing.I'm very patient and no matter how much talent you think you do or don't have,I know that with the right approach you can reach your goals on the guitar :)

About Jordan

I have two sons that have been taking lessons with Jordan for 10 months. He is teaching both my sons, one the guitar and the other piano. I have used one previous instructor from takelessons.com for piano lessons and he was good. However, Jordan does not constantly reschedule lessons and I can see more progress in how fast my son is learning and his enthusiasm to learn. I am happy I switched my son who plays the piano to Jordan, whom was already teaching my other son guitar.

Key Points:
Jordan, is good at assessing a student’s abilities and interests and adjusting his lessons accordingly

He makes the lessons fun and challenging.

He has gone out of his way to learn about my sons and their interests, so when they were introduced to guitar and piano, they were able to learn and play music that they already enjoyed listening to

He is a gifted musician but also highly skilled at teaching. He works well with families and has a flexible schedule.

He is fair but firm with students

The highlight for me was hearing my sons have a jam session together

Jordan has a wonderful ability to relate to people. He has excellent skill and enthusiasm, making my sons WANT to learn.

I would highly recommend him as a teacher.

Jordan is amazing, he can just learn a song by ear the first time he hears it, I’ve been working with him for a little over a year and I never thought I’d be able to do that, but my ear has really started to develop. He always offers positive critique, never negative and always patient!!

Jordan is a good teacher. Talented. Patient. Smart.
My daughter responded well to him.

When I teach guitar, I try to give students the tools they need for creativity and expressing themselves with their instrument. I let them decide how far into any given subject matter we dive, because I want our lessons to be tailored to their goals and their experience with playing. While maintaining discipline and thoughtful technique, I want my students to discover their inner artist through the blank canvas of music that lies before them while their imaginations soar. I also want my students to understand that being proficient on an instrument is earned, and that it will take time to play those difficult songs. But my students should not fear, because I will make getting their fun and exciting!

As for my experience, I like to play a lot of classic rock, folk, blues, and even alternative and punk rock. I throw in a little jazz every now and again. I can teach standard picking, hybrid picking, and finger picking as well. If a student is interested in music theory, I base a lot of ...

We didn’t have a cello teacher in our small town so we decided to try taking online lessons. Jessica took my daughter through Suzuki books 1-6. She was very personable and very focused. She kept my daughter motivated and even allowed performance opportunities (Skyping into recitals). We have since moved to a bigger city and my daughter takes live lessons. Her new teacher (who has a doctorate in cello performance) was very impressed with my daughter’s technique. Thanks Jessica for giving my daughter a great musical foundation!
Amanda
Jessica is patient, clear and very skilled. I am starting from the very beginning and she has a way of guiding that is both encouraging and constructive. Highly recommend her for children and adults wanting to learn the cello.

"A solid teacher with a lot of experience

Cameron is great at tailoring the lessons to my musical taste without compromising the theory, basics and fundamentals.
I have been taking lessons for one year and will not go elsewhere anytime soon. His vast musical knowledge helps merge the theory with concrete examples. No question remains unanswered."

"Adam is a teacher par excellence. I am self taught from a well known book. I was doing well I thought until I got stuck. Adam gently showed me where I erred and made great suggestions for me to move on correctly. I never felt rushed or “ put down.” Adam was patient, open for questions, encouraging, comforting. I know I need much help to correct and advance in guitar from matters such as tuning, restringing, reading, and other things too many to write about. I look forward to my next lesson with enthusiasm."

"I have had one lesson with David, and it is enough to tell that he is a great teacher. He clearly knows how to play guitar. He is both encouraging and firm. He explained to me the expectations for my practice and what he wants me to learn by next week, but was also very understanding whenever I made a mistake. I told him about my experience in other hobbies, and from that he was able to use analogies that made sense to me that would help me learn the techniques he was teaching. I am very happy to have David as my guitar teacher."

"Gave me excellent instruction and direction for my future bass guitar practicing and development

After only five lessons last summer, I was not able to continue with Rob due to personal time constraints and lack of practice time, but during those lessons Rob gave me invaluable instruction, fixed my hand positions, took me in the direction I wanted to go, and as my last request from him, developed a very comprehensive long term development plan I could follow on my own, as time permitted. Rob was very patient and seemed extremely knowledgeable regarding the specifics of bass guitar technique and theory. Thanks, Rob, for giving me a direction and helping me get started the right way."
