Wonderful first impression - our lesson was serious, yet conversational. There were moments of fun and also lecture. I will be back.

Levels taught: beginner, intermediate, advanced.

Russian is my native language, and I can help you with anything from learning the alphabet, to grammar, pronunciation and more advanced skills. In order to make the learning process as informative and interesting as possible, primarily for students, a modern teacher must use additional materials at the lesson. Of course, my materials contain a sufficient amount of learning aids that contribute to a more productive and meaningful assimilation of the new theoretical material. From my experience I can promise you - in a few lessons you will be able to maintain the simplest dialogue and read short stories.

About Irina

I am a classically-trained and educated Cellist with deep experience playing with Symphony Orchestra’s, Chamber Orchestra’s, Ensemble’s, Quartets, and Solo. I began my musical education at the age of ten, have played for 21 years, and have fourteen years of formal musical education. I specialize in

I am coming to the cello as a brand new beginner. I have play around with some fretted instruments, ukulele, banjo, etc. But Irina was super at getting me relaxed, focused on basics and encouraging me with small, but important mechanics and technical details. I have taken other music lessons like sax, so could compare. I totally enjoyed the start of my cello training.
Oh, btw, I'm retired and over 65!!!

I've been teaching Russian for 5 years. Within the first lessons, you'll know alphabet and how to greet people in Russian.
From lesson to lesson you'll increase vocabulary and after a few lessons your knowledge will be enough to read short stories. I use online workbooks, textbooks. I have a list of websites. They let students learn grammar, listen to dialogues, watch movies. I love working with students and can't wait to start this journey through Russian grammar and literature with you.

I'm an engineer by profession, by passion and been working in this field for quite a long time. Nevertheless, I also like to teach languages and go to language exchange groups in different places to share my knowledge of languages.

The teaching experience that I have included:
- The social aspect of communication is very important, so I prefer to adjust to a specific style of learning of each person
- I prefer live, interesting discussion that brings result rather than just formal lessons.
- The most important aspect of learning language is having fun, so I believe this is the most important part. When it's dull it's really hard to learn something, so it must be engaging and interesting.

In other words, I'm an engineer who loves to teach people different things and it means that my definition of success is helping people become fluent in a language. My focus is the result itself.

About Dmitry

I'm an engineer by profession (and degree) but was always enjoying teaching other people languages. I'm a native Russian speaker but been living in the USA for 10 years and fluent in English. I highly believe that education should be done in informative and a fun way, this is the only approach to

"Kristina was the best teacher I have ever known. I started studying Russian with her to prepare for an interview in foreign company. I can’t even describe how much I was afraid. She gave me all necessary knowledge. All classes we were drilling variants of possible questions and answers, grammar, new words... I successfully completed the interview! Now I work in an international company. This is my best compliment to Kristina and all her efforts! Many many thanks!"

"Teacher Kristina teaches our work group in our enterprise (me, my deputies, and assistances) Russian since we should often fly abroad and speak with our partners. Kristina is very professional punctual and experienced. We all like her methods, sometimes we work hard sometimes a bit relaxed in fun activity. We drill conversations, make a group projects, make public presentations, work out a good pronunciation and many many things. We are reaching our goal lesson by lesson with her. Our respect and appreciation to our dear instructor."
