I have been studying cello since the age of four and have taught cello lessons for 15 years. I enjoy working with students of all ages and experience levels. My teaching method helps students become musically literate while exploring the variety of music available for the cello and the techniques needed to play the music. I fell in love with the cello at a very young age and am excited to share my love of music and experience with you!

About Ryan

I teach using a traditional method and specialize in classical music but also teach other genres.

My first session with Jarod was great! Lots of great information, very focused session, and great experience in a very well put together studio. Jarod was also very welcoming and open to conversing about personal manners that influence my music experience. Even after our first session, I feel much more confident in mixing practices which I had not before. Looking forward to our future meeting and I would highly recommend Jarod as an instructor for anyone looking to improve their knowledge and practices in regard to production and mixing/mastering!

I have a passion for teaching people to sing to the best of their ability with the instrument they have been given! I want to teach others to sing like THEM, not like someone else or in a certain style, but to unlock their potential! There aren't shortcuts, but we can be relaxed, comfortable, and laugh on the journey to improvement! This is first and foremost a safe space to make mistakes and learn the correct way to use our bodies to sing. I have a bachelor's degree in music and performance from the University of North Georgia and have been teaching lessons for over eight years with students of all ages and backgrounds. I am excited to share what I have learned to help YOU sing to the best of your ability!

Ms. Melissa did such a fabulous job preparing me for a church solo piece, Give Me Jesus. She worked with me so much on it, specifically with the dynamics and musicality. She is so patient and kind when working with me, and I look forward to her lessons every week. :)

"Ms. Kim is wonderful piano teacher. I had her for more than 5 years and got into Rutgers University for music ed/piano major. I cherish the time I was studying with Ms. Kim. She is very knowlegable for what she was teaching and so she is so patient. I was a student who just love to play the piano from time to time, not too serious about what I was going to do with music, but since I met her Ms. Kim opened my door to explore how to appreciate music and practice piano correctly. She thaught me a lot though; I got ear training, music theory and compositions which I appreciate so much and I am confident right now as music major student and soon to be a music teacher. Of course, regarding piano teaching, she is the best teacher I have ever met. Even my piano professors at college mentions that I have a good foundation. Ms. Kim made me to get into music ed/piano major and now I am walking on sunshine everyday. I just love what I am doing now as musician! Thank you Ms. Kim!

Awesome piano teacher, I strongly recomend to everyone who is interested in piano lessons!"

"Brian first and foremost is a fantastic bassist. I heard live at a local club and asked if he gave lessons. Fortunately he did and I started studying with him soon thereafter. I was a beginner/ intermediate player at the time and over the course of the next two years not only did my playing greatly improve so did my knowledge of music theory. Brian has been a wonderful source of information. I couldn't ask for someone better. I still get an occasion lesson in with him and he reminds me how much there still is to learn. I highly recommend Brian for anyone interested in learning the upright bass or, as was the case with me, someone with the basics who wants to get better."

"My son is a BEGINNER beginner. Rodrigo is a very nice guy and seems to know his stuff very well. I would give him 5 stars but I don't think he realized that my son needed the basic, basic 1st lesson (i.e. how to hold the instrument). We've only attended one session so this is fully based on that one lesson. I'm sure he'll adjust his teaching from here on out."

Complete Guide to Mastering the D, D7, and Dm Ukulele Chords

The sweet tone of the ukulele really comes out when the right chords are played. There is a wide range of moods the uke can produce — from upbeat grooves to sentimental slow jams — which depends heavily on the type of chords that are used. The major, minor, and dominant chords all have distinctive sounds that play a critical role in the songs we know and love. To understand the unique quality of each essential chord type, it’s helpful to practice chord variations that are based on the s …
