Ryan Pereira was the first private teacher I had on the clarinet. With his help, I managed to get into my district band for the first time, scoring high in my audition, I have bought three of his products (a ligature and a barrels) which work brilliantly, and his expertise on performance and technical knowledge has helped me grow in a positive way. In addition to all of this, Pereira has become a true mentor and an honest friend.

I can help beginner kids become better acquainted with the Bb clarinet and help them get used to playing a wind instrument for the first time. I can work with beginners on articulation, fingerings, embouchure, breath support, and demonstrate proper cleaning for the instrument and the names of the parts. I'll also work on beginner music with them from method books to help them get used to reading Bb Clarinet music.

My daughter learned more from Joseph than her other bassoon teachers. He was reasonable and ensured that she was learning bassoon technique, not just songs. I truly appreciated his dedication to her learning and passion for the bassoon.

I'm currently a sophomore at University of Maryland studying Clarinet Performance. I've been playing the clarinet for going on 11 years, and attending the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy for high school. Though I may not be the oldest, I have a lot of experience and knowledge from pre-professional playing and learning from world-class musicians. I'm accepting all beginner and intermediate level players! I'll also be willing to coach older, more advanced students for audition preparation. I would love to share my knowledge and love of music and clarinet with anyone that's interested.

About Chase

I'm currently a 20 year old clarinetist from Baltimore, Maryland. I'm studying at University of Maryland for my Bachelor's in Music on full-scholarship. I grew up performing in county, region, and state-wide ensembles and was a member of the Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestra. My sophomore year

I have taught clarinet to beginning and high school students. I have 30 years experience teaching both privately and as a band director. I know the curriculum and techniques to help you efficiently and effectively reach your goals. I have guided students through the challenges beginning and mastering the clarinet and can help you!

The most important element of becoming a musician is learning to play musically. As I lead my college students into a music profession, I remind them that I am primarily teaching them to be musicians who perform musically through their chosen instrument. This is what sets performs apart and I can help you become a better musician on saxophone, clarinet or any other instrument.

About Brian

Brian L. T is a graduate of the University of Arizona (1993) where he earned a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in Saxophone Performance and a minor in Music Education. He also has Music Education degrees from Moorhead State University, Moorhead, Minnesota (M.S., 1990, B.S., 1986). He is a proud me

I am a retired professor of music and my students have won various competitions at all levels. We will focus on developing proper technique, building good practice habits, and long term improvement.

About Andy

My students have described our lessons as being fun, intense, humorous, and thought-provoking. Lessons are always tailored to the individual student, because the lessons are about the student making progress toward their goals, not about me. 3rd lesson done and couldn't be happier with our online teacher. Mr. Wen is informative and very professional. Recommend for anyone.

Dr. Wen was the best professor and lesson instructor I have ever had. I took lessons with him for over seven years starting in high school and throughout my entire college. He shares his expertise in music theory, techniques, and instrument mechanics. He really helped me gain confidence in my playing abilities, showed me how I should be practicing in order to get the most of each rehearsal, and taught me so much about myself as a player. His ability to instruct on every aspect of playing the instrument is something I really admire. Need help rhythmically? He will help you understand time, measurement, and notes. Need help technically? He has all the ways to practice to get that much closer to perfection and how to maintain it. Need help with scales? He will help you to truly understand the scale in order for you to play it better. Not only will he help with the "how-tos," he will explain the why. Needing help with breathing techniques or articulations? He will take you through exercises that will enhance every aspect of your playing. He sets the standards high, and helps you reach your goals. I will always recommend Dr. Wen!
Valerie
Dr. Wen is an outstanding saxophone instructor, performer, and technician! I learned more from him in my first two 30 minute lessons than I had in 15 years of playing.
He will teach you how to make your practice time more productive, alternate fingerings to play more in tune, techniques to make note transitions easier, how to prepare new reeds for playing.... and on and on.
I had not played for a very long time. Dr Wen got me from there to where I was playing in a University Wind Ensemble, a quartet, and a community band. He also knew exactly where my saxophone needed to be adjusted to make it play better.
Dr Wen was my instructor for approximately 7 years. I learned a tremendous amount from him. You can’t do any better than Dr Andy Wen. He’s outstanding!

My only complaint is Erick's lack of responsiveness to emails. He never responds to correspondence."

"David is a fantastic musician and truly gifted teacher. When I moved to the Philadelphia area, I tried 2 other teachers who had been very highly recommended, but I was sadly disappointed -- not because they were not very good musicians, but because they were not able to pass along to me what I needed I order to progress. I had almost given up on the idea of getting a wonderful teacher who would listen to my needs and be able to help me. But since being with David, my playing has improved tremendously in a fairly short period of time (less that 1 year). He has helped me improve my technique and sound dramatically. And... he's a lovely person. I cannot recommend him highly enough."
