I began teaching violin lessons privately 5 years ago and have had as many as 40 students at one time. I have had many beginner students of all ages, and welcome students of any age or level. I approach each one of my students individualistically, focusing on the kind of music that interests and excites them most, while also providing material and exercises to help strengthen the students’ musicianship and technical proficiency on the instrument. I believes in bettering my student’s abilities through encouragement and positive reinforcement, guiding them to find a love and commitment to music. I understand that above all else, music should feel fun and rewarding and serve as a way to express yourself. If you're not having fun, you're missing the point! I have taught classical music, jazz, fiddle, and pop, and have a background in the Suzuki Method.

About Livia

I am a violinist of 21 years formally trained in both classical and jazz music. I graduated from the University of Maryland in 2015, where I received my Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance, studying under performer and pedagogue Dr. James Stern (D.M.A., The Juilliard School.) Livia was great with my daughter! She has a wonderful personality and made the lesson really enjoyable.

Livia was my sons violin teacher for 3 years. We couldn’t have asked for a better teacher. My son started when he was in third grade with a different teacher, and it was not a good match. Livia came and met my son and they clicked right away. I asked my son (now in 7th grade) what to say in this review, he said that Livia is a great teacher, he learned a lot, and he had tons of fun. She has a laid back and patient manner. Because of her I believe he will have a lifelong love of violin. I give her my highest recommendation.

I am a Berklee College of Music Alumni and have years of experience teaching. I started teaching in France, and then taught some classes in Boston. Spent 4 years studying with some of the greatest drummers out there from Rock to Jazz, and HipHop drumming ( James Murphy from the blue man group, Marko Djordjevic, and Omar Hakim), after spending another 4 years studying Jazz in Paris. I have a passion for teaching and transmission. After touring with bands like Lick Neon and playing around the US I felt like I wanted to go back to teaching drums. My teaching is unique, very centered on playing, and less centered on books because to me the best way to learn music is to play by ear and to learn how to listen. I will teach you basics and rudiments, but very quickly I will show you how to use those in a creative and fun way, so that your appetite for learning more keeps growing. I would love to meet you and get you closer to your drum dreams !

About Clement

Teaching means the world to me. Music has been transmitted from generation to generation during the whole history of humanity and to keep music alive, we need people to be fully dedicated to transmitting what they learned to keep music growing, and to empower people to believe in themselves and tha

Being a first time drum student , I took lessons with Clement and he was so patient and really helped me build the confidence that I needed. Although I'm only playing for a hobby, I feel as if I can now call myself a drummer thank you to the guidance as well as the standard that Clement held me too. Also great hip hop producer!
Florence
After having taken some lessons online with various instructors, it is clear to me that Clément has been my best experience. Learning drums online was never easy but I am very busy so that's my only option, and he made sure that I always understood him clearly, sent me some exercises to practice after classes and always encouraged me and made me believe in myself. Still take lessons to this day and now I have my own band ! Thanks Clem :) !!

Hello! I teach piano, bass, and guitar and enjoy teaching the following styles: rock, funk, blues, pop, R&B. I have played keys with an American Idol finalist and bass with a founding member of My Morning Jacket. I have also performed in jazz orchestras and combos (though jazz isn't my first choice to play and teach).

My favorite things to teach, and how I can help you achieve your musical goals, are using the songs you love to teach technique and the feel of a song; accompanying you on a different instrument to help with improvisation and building experience with onstage communication; and using technology to augment our lessons.

What does that mean?

It means I like to use different apps to help you learn the solo you hear in the song (not the one that is misprinted in all the sheet music you see). It also means using authentic or near-authentic tracks to help you jam in our lessons or on your own.

I am happy to work with all ages of learners (6 and older). I have a doctorate ...

"I have been struggling to learn how to play for 35 years and never could find the right instructor for "Me". I have come to the conclusion that I will never play the piano so I have given up on my dream. I felt this was a big let down in my life and I couldn't let myself down by giving up. So I started a search again for an Instructor that will be good for me. My search online took me to takelessons and I was connected with Paul.

I thought, "What do I have to lose, nothing". So I signed up and I have to say after meeting Paul and taking, now 3 lessons, I find that I finally found the instructor for me.

Paul is very attentive to my learning needs and is very accommodating in adopting his teaching style to fit my learning style. I am a slow learner, as well as, a sight learner (in other words, I have to see what one is explaining for me to understand) Paul has taken his time with me to show and explain everything to me.

Paul encourages me to ask questions and he will take the time to answer any question that I have and if I don't understand, Paul will explain it differently to me until I understand. Paul has a vast knowledge in music, Piano and other instruments which is very reassuring to me.

I know I have made the right decision to take my lessons with Paul. I have to say, I will finally be able to achieve a dream of mine that I have had for the past 35 year, and it's all thanks to Paul.

Thank you so much, Paul!!!"

"I started taking flute lessons with Stephanie last September 2016. I have been playing flute since 2011 and play regularly at church. I take a hour long lesson. I have really enjoyed taking lessons from her. She has also been willing to adjust to my schedule, when she could, when work won’t allow me to make it to my normal lesson.
I had been taking lessons from another flute teacher since 2011 and knew it was time to change. Stephanie has always been able to help me. She is very knowledgeable about all questions and problems I was having on playing the flute or reading music. When questioning a technique she is able to demonstrate it or explain it in a different way so I could understand it. I’ve always had trouble with the high notes and alternate fingering and she definitely has helped me on those. Stephanie personally is a lot more enjoyable than my last teacher. She always seems happy to see me.
I also play Low Flutes and just bought my first Bass Flute. She also plays low flutes."
