The most fabulous thing about being an artist is that boundaries regarding creativity are non-existent. The artist is always in a state of learning. Art is a progressive practice that takes time to develop.

Materials are not included.
Materials needed are pencil, paper and a willingness to explore.

Drawing lessons will be assessed based on the individual's current abilities and their goals.
Ages 9-40

Lessons focus on developing knowledge and skill practice drawing in various media such as charcoal, conte and graphite as well as colored pencil, pen, pastel or markers. Classical approach to line, form, anatomy and portrayal of light.

Attacking the students aspirations and goals of their personal requests to the trainer, and getting to know the client and where they would like to see themselves in a limited time of training so the clients money and time isn't left in the mud! We want to provide the artist with wise tips and tricks to draw whatever they want the world to feel, know, and understand through their own creative hearts! Curriculums are based upon freelance drawing, still-life , portrait practices and expressive painting and drawing. Lessons on measurements and accuracy for a steady hand will also be provided for nice clean and neat art!

Deron C. has had over 10 years of experience teaching other how to use drawing materials ranging from ink to pencil to charcoal to chalk to oil pastels. Learn how to use these materials and more. Draw what you see whether the reference material is a photograph or a three-dimensional still life. Understand color theory and composition. Improve your creativity while improving your technique.

There are so many reasons to learn to draw. Perhaps you are applying for college and want to strengthen your portfolio? Maybe you changing careers and need to strengthen your visual thinking? Or you may just want to learn to draw for fun. Whatever your reason is, I can help. I have been teaching drawing for 20 years and I’ve worked with students of all ages, from young adults to retirees. There seems to be a notion out there that “one must have a talent for art before they can learn to draw. ” One thing I can say for sure is that this absolutely NOT true. With the right knowledge, a strong desire to learn, and a willingness to try, anyone can learn to draw.

I teach students how to draw from a classical studies background, but I believe in nurturing the uniqueness of each student and honoring their learning style. Unlike a classroom setting, a private lesson frees us up to build the lessons specifically around the student's goals and needs.
