I studied instrumental music in throughout college and then I decided to join the choir. I was able to make it into the top auditioned vocal ensemble, which has helped me with my career as a middle school choir teacher! All ages are welcome, though I specialize with beginning musicians. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. Not only will you be performing music in no time, but you will be building a strong foundation of note reading, music theory, ear training, sight reading, technique, and more. Let's get started!

I focus lessons highlighting any genre around technique. Cultivating one's technique establishes good habits regarding things like breath, and posture, which will help maintain a singers overall vocal health. In addition to classical repertoire I have experience working with musical theater, pop, jazz, soul, and country.

Chelsea is a tremendous teacher, with sympathy and patience for my absurd schedule and difficulty reading music.

I had a really great time and she explained so much to me that I wasn't really clear on.

I needed last minute coaching for an upcoming audition and was feeling unprepared and frazzled. Chelsea easily knew what I needed. She made recommendations, was wonderfully engaging, and her insight and ear highlighted some important tweaks that I would have overlooked in my haste to prepare. After just one session I felt clearer, calmer, and considerably more confident. Bonus: Chelsea is incredibly kind, fun to work with and makes you feel you already know one another. There are so many colors to the human voice. Unlike most instruments, the human body does not show us what note we are playing or how the air is inhaled in to our stomach. So we end up feeling our way through, using our imagination. This is where the magic happens. In class and outside of it, muscle memory takes its natural course and we begin creating a unique and practical "navigation map" of your voice.
Whether you feel like letting out some steam, working on those high notes or designing your own sound; I am excited to meet you! I have studied (and still studying - learning is endless...) many different techniques and am very committed to sharing what I know with patience and passion.

I am thrilled to be working with Ariella Edvy in my quest to learn Hebrew. Her approach of using music and video clips to teach make her lessons fun and relevant. But there are two things that really set her apart -- her art of teaching elocution (she makes you feel it!) and her way of modeling her lessons to each individual's learning style.

Sophia is a excellent instructor. She helped me learn the foundations of good singing technique. She also helps you break old habits. I am a Bass / Guitar Player but wanted a Vocal Lesson to further my musical abilities. She Showed me great vocal exercises as well and basic vocal techniques that will produce the best sound with the least amount of strain. She was also very fun and enthusiastic. "My son started taking lessons with Fawn in June of 2018. Each lesson has been amazing as Fawn takes a lot of effort and spends time in teaching her the right techniques in order to have a strong foundation. I have witnessed my son's voice transform tremendously with the guidance and help of Fawn’s efforts and it has been such a blessing. Fawn also enforces the importance of learning the right way and practicing which has helped my son get into a good routine and gain immense confidence in himself. I would recommend Fawn as a vocal coach to all aspiring singers because she invests a lot of time, care and expertise into her students to ensure they learn, do well and are successful."
