About Joshua
I am a tutor who earned a music teaching degree, substitute taught, and didn't become a school teacher. I held professional tech retail jobs and am supplementing my life with my passion - education.

Whatever subject or instrument I teach, I celebrate students' successes; and I enjoy helping learners have new aha moments.

The majority of my students take guitar, bass guitar, or Spanish lessons. I am an educator and help my students learn other skills and knowledge sets too.

I went to Ohio State University for college, earned a BA in Music Education, and graduated Cum Laude. I also spent 4 years in the Ohio State University Marching Band.

Through my healing journey, I've developed patience, insight, and understanding for my students' learning processes.

I'm excited to help you incorporate new skills into your life!

In search of helping our 10 year old son build some self-confidence we sought out clarinet lessons this summer. He started playing in school last year, and it was something our reluctant son liked "enough" to want to build up some competency. Joshua has been amazing! He finds just the right amount of challenge to encourage my son to practice, but not get discouraged. My son looks forward to his lesson each week and told me that he isn't even sure he wants to switch to saxophone next year because he is having so much fun playing the clarinet. Joshua is amazing with children, and has spent time getting to know our kiddo and find out what will work best for him. Patient, calm, and inspiring--very talented instructor.

Joshua Blatman is a fantastic music teacher. He has a great resume, is experienced in a variety of instruments, and a solid background in teaching.
I think any kids lucky enough to learn music from Joshua will have fun and hopefully fall in love with learning it, just like my kids have.

Lucinda was on time, very friendly, and happy to get right to the lesson after getting a little background I do. She made some suggestions for attire, stretches, warm-ups, etc. We can't wait to see her again!

About Patrick
I began doing parkour in late 2011/ early 2012. From the beginning, I've always been passionate about teaching parkour to others because I wanted people to feel the excitement and joy of learning parkour as I did. Currently I am a college student at McDaniel College double majoring in Economics and Philosophy. Though these aren't exactly parkour related, school has not kept me from keeping up and skills and teaching when I can. Within the past year, I have coached at Excellence Gym Sports, Camp Woodward, and Garrison Forest School. Parkour is for anyone trying to challenge their own limits. This means that parkour is for any age, gender, or athletic ability. Some people may have advantages over others when first learning, but parkour is not about that. The focus is on seeing progression in yourself, and not how you compare to others. So w
hether you're in it for the skills, the workout, or the fun of learning something new, I want to see you learn parkour and understand why this is something I am so passionate about.

About Endilla
Hello There,

My name is Endilla Teaupa. I am of Tongan decent (with a hint of Samoan and German). I was born and raised on the Islands of Hawaii where I was literally immersed in the Spirit of Aloha. In other words, surrounded by a lot of, “Ho’ Brah not even!”, “Sup’ Aunty/Unko/Sista/Brada”, “Whatchyu like?”, “Shaka Brah”, “Get da’ Slippah”, “bumbai you learn”, (haha) etc. My culture has a lot to do with who I am today, but, even deeper than that is my love and passion for the beautiful Dances of Polynesia.

I began dancing the Hula (from the islands of Hawaii) at 5 years old and that was all I danced for a while. Here and there I would learn a few Tauolungas (from the islands of Tonga) to perform at family functions or gatherings. When I turned 12, my Aunty, former dancer of the Polynesian Cultural Center, invited me to dance with he
r group, ‘Tautehine o’e ’Pasifiki’. That’s when I was I introduced to the Otea, a combination of Drum beats from the islands of Tahiti. I must admit, back then, my skills were zero to none.  With my arms moving quicker than my hips, I’m sure I gave the impression that I was doing the Harlem shake (haha). From there on I continued to learn more about the Polynesian culture. That included Samoa, Fiji, Maori, Tokelau, Cook Islands, etc.

Taking in all that I’ve learned, I’ve developed a deep love and passion for my Polynesian people and the way we are able to express our emotions through Dance.

Few who knew me then, saw that I struggled with my own personal insecurities. I was very shy as a child and I lacked a lot of self-confidence. I was literally one of those clingy little children who was glued to their parents hip. I didn’t want to leave their side because I was afraid. Afraid of jumping into a world that I knew would hurt me. Dancing, however, changed that for me. Every opportunity I had to hit the stage, I became a whole new person. Dancing made me happy; it kept me active and in shape, and most importantly, it brought out the true beauty and confidence that was buried deep inside of me.

I believe that there’s a lot of beautiful gems hidden in every individual. In order to discover those hidden gems, we need to dig deep and really find what our true passion is. For me it’s a lot of things. Dancing is one of them. If you have not yet discovered yours, I’d like to extend an invitation to you to join me in catching the Passion Wave of SWAY.
