About Andrew

Musically and personally, I strongly feel that diversity and openness are key in a person's development: when we move outside of our comfort zone and embrace the unknown, we are better able to grow as musicians (and human beings). As a performer, I feel that performing with musicians of different b

Great Experience

From the first lesson, Andrew has been a consummate professional. Each lesson he brings in something new, while making sure that everything we've covered in the past is still ingrained through repetition. Having Andrew as an instructor has opened my eyes to the many facets of drumming, and I have taken skills/techniques with me that will last forever. The feedback does not stop after each lesson, Andrew is available all the time for any questions I may have during the week if I am stumped while practicing. His schedule is flexible with mine, and he is willing to bring in music that I want to personally learn. The lessons are the right balance of fun and teaching, and his studio promotes a learning environment that is not intimidating to let loose if you're a beginner like me.

I'd recommend Andrew to anyone looking to expand their skill set, the lessons have been a great experience.

I've been taking lessons with Susan Scher for about two months now. I can easily say I've been impressed at how much I've improved. I look forward to lessons every week. I feel that soon enough I'll be able to audition for roles in film and television. If you live in the Baltimore area and are interested in voice acting or any acting in general. Contact her and go, you won't be disappointed.

I did not know what to expect when I signed up to take classes with Susan. I decided to take classes with her for two reasons: Her studio is not far from me and 2, the good reviews left by her clients. All I wanted was to learn the fundamentals and techniques about acting. Susan was excellent and very patient. She offered water in each lesson, which is also very kind. Her interpersonal connection brings a sense of comfort. Her studio is very neat and welcoming. I do not have regrets in my selections and I know you won't be disappointed too.

It's a joy to get to help students grow towards their full potential and deepen their love of music. Teachers in my life have been especially important to my development into the musician and person I am today. I strive to help my students develop at their own pace through dedication, deep listening, and exploration. The voice is a direct connection to who the singer is and what they feel!

I have been performing in a variety of musical settings (large cover bands, solo shows, jazz trios) for the past 10 years. I am beyond grateful to have been able to study with wonderful vocalists, musicians, and artists, (such as Jamie Leonhart, Nick Hakim, Kevyn Lettau and LaTanya Hall to name a few), focusing on aspects of vocal technique/freedom, ear training, theory, songwriting, guitar and piano. My specialties include original music (songwriting), Jazz, R&B/Soul, and Pop. It is a passion of mine to help musicians, singers, and songwriters strengthen their own unique voice.

It is my goal

With her patient understanding and calm presence, Crystal Rose is a very engaging and positive music teacher. What originally started out as guitar lessons has grown into a deeper exploration of music through voice lessons and songwriting. I fully credit this expansion of both my guitar playing technique and my musical creativity to her skills as a teacher. After each lesson I feel inspired and excited to keep practicing what I have learned as it carries me over into my week. I am so happy to have found her and highly recommend Crystal Rose as a music teacher.

Learning voice technique with Crystal is the best experience! I’m getting a lot of tools for proper use of my voice in a supportive environment and with a professional care.
I highly recommend hiring Crystal.

When I was 20, I thought I should teach the violin. I like this instrument, and I want to share it with more people. Many people think it is not easy to learn, it doesn't start well, and it even pulls my neck. I think I wanted to tell everyone that this is an instrument that's so easy to play and doesn't cause any discomfort and hurt. So I spent many years studying to explore and think about how to teach it the easiest way, especially For beginners, how can they continue to practice. I think that through years of teaching and thinking, I have mastered some good ideas.

About QI

Ms. Qi began to study the violin at the age of 5, and was admitted to the Youth Symphony Orchestra at the age of 10; At the age of 15, she entered the 5-years program of music education at the Normal University. After graduating she entered the Central Conservatory of Music to further study violin

Taught me some cool new blues picking. This guy knows his shit!
Matt
Joe is a great guy and musician, a really easy person to work with, talk to, and hang with. Most importantly he is an extraordinary musician, he knows his stuff, and he knows how to communicate it to a student. His knowledge spans far beyond a pro and his teaching skills surpass many "professional" teachers I have worked with in the past. Nothing but a joy every lesson. Joe has opened my eyes to what the fretboard displays harmonically. I am grateful for what he has given me. Thanks Joe!
Malik
I'm currently taking electric guitar lessons from Joe. Without a doubt, it is the highlight of my week to spend an hour jamming with him. While learning a new instrument is always difficult (especially one as physically/mentally demanding as the guitar), Joe is endlessly knowledgeable and always has a cool new trick to show me to make everything less daunting and more fun. It has been such a joy to be instructed by someone so funny, talented, patient, and kind. I cannot recommend Joe enough!

"Ran was such a wonderful instructor and overall person. My son loved her and so did I. My 10 year old learned so much Ran, because she has so much knowledge and passion for the violin. I just recently moved out of the area, so I am not within driving distance anymore to Ran. However, I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to learn the violin or sharpen an already existing skillset. I believe Ran has transferred her passion for the violin to my son and to myself as well. I wish I could give her 10 stars! She is awesome!!!!"

Jenna gave me incredible assistance in this area and opened up the world of improvisation to me! I have also watched her train high school singers to amazing skill levels in the acappella arena. Jenna is incredibly versatile, technology-savvy, and one of the most positive instructors I have ever met!"
